I think everyone's already covered the pros and cons of Bo3, 5, 7 as individual formats, i just wanted to add that I think having Bo3 Ro16, Bo5 Ro8 / Ro4, and Bo7 finals makes for a more dynamic progression as the tournament moves into the upper levels. I think watching a new format almost every round gives a greater feeling of weight for each round by adding a kind of "reward" to players (especially Bo7 finals), along the lines of "you've made it this far, we're going to give you a serious chance to demonstrate your skills, and the airtime your deserve". to me, it's almost like having a survivor tournament each round, where making it through seems to matter more simply because it's a kind of cutoff.

Bo5 finals OSL style is best imo.

Reason:
1. Each game counts more.
2. Prepare 5 bo's is easier than 7 and will give better games.
3. Bigger % chance for having a final deciding match.

According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

I can't believe the Bo7 nonsense is in the lead.
I believe in the almighty Grötslev! -- I am never serious and you should never believe a thing I say. Including the previous sentence.

I voted the one with the most games played overall. Gotta make them earn their 10k!

Actually the real reason I voted that one is because I love watching StarCraft and there just simply isnt enough games of these top foreign players.

Bo3 Ro16, Bo5 after that...

Anything more than that would honestly just be tiring =/
We make signature, then defense it.

Bo7 is way too much to watch.... haha. It'd take way too long, players would get more fatigued, and the people watching would get tired too. lol.

Bo7 is just ridiculous. What if it's a TvT final? Also, there's very little tension in the first two games in a Bo7.

QFT. I dont think the first 2 or 3 games would be very exciting in a bo7

This is the correct vote! I've never heard anything good about a bo7.

I voted for he popular one without knowing it was popular, but now I regret it... I really wanted to vote for Bo3 Ro16 and 8, and Bo5 Ro4 and 2, but it wasn't an option

Also exactly my thoughts. BO5 will most likely produce better games than BO7

All you BO5 clowns are in the minority and seriously, yes, the BO7 format could be over the top, but it could also be the most memorable foreigner finals ever. Starcraft is almost dead and I think we need to think of its legacy. Which finals are we going to remember? The BO5 one, which contained some very decent games? Or the BO7 one, which lasted so long that it wasn't actually the player who had the best builds planned out who won, but rather the player who got terribly far behind, before eventually making a comeback based on raw skill and absolute determination ?

More games doesn't equal better finals.
They could go for Bo21 and there would be no tension in any game.
Less games equals more tension, but also increases the luckfactor. Bo5 is the perfect mix.
I remember lots of Bo5 from the korean pro scene, and Bo5 is certainly enough.

Only reason why we're in the minority is because many people vote before they actually think about it, as has been stated above.

I hope the staff knows about this too.
