It's always been winner of game 1 then winner of the overall set winner for all the past seasons I can remember. Not sure why they changed it this time around.

I guess the old way was better imo.

Game 2 is always going to be played, so I made you guys bet on that, and it even listed the map as Icarus. Otherwise it would have said Bo3 series. I messed up while making the OSL Ro8 bets, cause I made Day 1 bets at first and then once I made em, I realized there was a day 2 split as well. But once you make LBs, it's a pain in the ass to delete them, and editing is impossible because of the sheer number of voters. By the time you recognize an edit, there are going to be people who have already voted, and that's unfair to them to change it up. I know not everyone reads the comments, but next time at least pay attention to the map listing to see if you're betting on a single game, or a series of games.

At best only 12% of people viewed this thread and this is an exception is terms of even getting that many, since a good number looked after-the-fact because they didn't expect to see name for the series loser as the one posted. More realistically, 5-8% of voters probably read this ahead of time (which, again, is the highest % of any of the LBs). Changing from the way that its always been done (which was apparently fair for the last year+?) was a horrible idea given how poorly informed people were of this change. The whole point of LB is do you take the safe bet or do you take a risk for the chance at getting ahead of the crowd. That is why the series winner has always been the method of choice for LB.

I messed up. It was in haste to get this bet in that I created day 1 first, without realizing there was a day 2. Entered, boom. Whoops. It's a pain in the ass to delete bets once you've made them. Here's proof from the guy who used to do the job. (5:45:36 PM) p4NDemik just be careful with the player names in general (5:46:06 PM) p4NDemik because fixing it is just a pain (5:46:25 PM) p4NDemik we can't actually delete bets Editing bets after is also unfair to those who might have voted before you edited it. Therefore what's the solution? Modify the bet so that it is fair, and this is the only fair solution to betting that's out there after a bet's already been made for day 1. Make a bet for Bo3 after someone just won game 1 or make a bet on Game 2 that has no dependence upon Game 1? Pretty simple. Plus, it's not my fault if people can't read map names. If you can't read the map name to be Icarus instead of Best of 3 Series, then maybe you shouldn't be winning that point anyways. Best of 3 Series = Vote on winner of the Bo3. Map Name = Vote for the guy who wins the map. I honestly thought it was pretty obvious. Yes, format might have been changed a bit, but I did try giving a notice, and the change was pretty noticeable too. It's not like I just left everyone hanging. Learn to read next time, and then we'll talk when there's an actual issue. Not my fault if no one wants to spend half an extra second reading the map name to see whether it's a BoX or a map specific bet. Point is that you didn't even have to read the first comment of this thread to have figured out it was just for the game on Icarus.
