We know team histories are not working correctly. Thank you. |

Yup, but we will still need a way to separate people who plays both games in the future. Maybe doing a drop down list could be a solution; ie, first the choosing which TLPD you are referring to and then clicking TLPD-ize. Here you go:
EU BattleNet Top 20 on 5 October: + Show Spoiler + The funny thing is; if the same player occurs in more than one database then it defaults to his korean BW profile even if thats not one of the databases he occurs in.

Yeah, its becoming very apparent that database specific TLPDize buttons are becoming a must. It is a priority.

I also have one suggestion. It would be very nice if the map stats are resetted after every balance patch or the patch numbers would be listed. TLPD SC2 is the only clear source of map stats. My suggestion still remains. I'd like to see the resets or some management regarding different patch versions. TLPD 2 is the only resource for map stats known to me.

Anyone else feel like frequent cups are inflating some players' ratings on SC2 International? SjoW hasn't shown anything at a major event. I don't know Elo that well, but maybe something can be done to lessen their impact.

Hi Guys
I have some ideas for changes that could be made~
1. It gets annoying clicking on TLPD and then specifying game and region. Maybe have an icon for the five (sc2 korea/international/beta, bw progaming/foreign) under this:
five small icons for each section could totally fit
2. regarding bw progaming: maybe add a new format for team records? like team standings for proleague, because all this time its been really hard to keep track of team standings unless you look through the match list and know what players are in what team or to look through every LR thread nevermind just updating a standings section on the big R&S thread will be alright
yeah~

SjoWs rating is actually not inflated. Currently all pros are actually ranked lower than they should because they still have to few games under their belt to be given a correct rating (you can see their ratings is going up-up-up). Eventually all of them have will reach their overall performance ratings. Although top European players might reach their performance rating quicker, this will level out when the others have played enough games as well.
I would also advise against using a different k-factor to rate different tournaments as this would lead down a very subjective and slippery slope.

I actually think the opposite, as the scene gets more established there are definitely hard dividing lines between how tough the competition is in a lot of these events (GSL is in a class different than MLG different than weekly ESL cups). It would take a lot of time to tinker with differing levels to get results that look okay though and I'm very lazy.

Eh, I don't like the idea of getting into gray areas like that where a tournament's pedigree plays an elevated role as opposed to purely the competitors that are actually playing in it. A tournament is only as good as its players.

Well some tournaments have listed 16 players instead of 8 as normal who are counted for TLPD. It can't be because of prize pool. Namely TL open #2 if you compare it to Go4SC2 which only is 8 players. Quality of players is still same. Why 16 instead of 8 still makes me wonder?

Obviously incorrect
EDIT: Also shouldn't it state unknown/retired given it's the BW TLPD?
I'm not sure listing SC2 teams in the BW TLPD would be useful.
EDIT2: Reading the thread again someone already pointed this out.

There should be log for what happens inside team. Kinda like this way:
Team eSTRO log:
- Team created xxx (which is now there at the moment) - name changes (this is too) - Players joining team - Players leaving team
Maybe for future SC2 TLPD entries... That's the way it works (roughly). It's just buggy atm like lots of stuff since TLPD 1.5. With BW PL starting again I might finally get some motivation back again and fix all of this at last.
so there is no stated info about newly added players? i saw quite a few new players in the team's list, but no announcement about their joining.

I did find any information on nthis, and I am just wondering: Why are tournaments like "EG Masters Cup" oder the "Gosucoachig Showmacht" between Tyler and Idra not countig for TLPD? What is the criteria to count for TLPD?

MLG Dallas and EG Masters Cup still missing. Is there any possibility to help you guys filling the data in? I really like the ranking (coming from chess and the elo ratings there), but if big events like these are not counted, the ratings are a bit flawed, I think....

MLG Dallas has been added (thanks to TheFallofTroy ). EG Masters Cup will be in asap.
Changed. Before I add your team though are there any other players on it in TLPD that I should include on the roster?
