We know team histories are not working correctly. Thank you. |
Ah you're right, I didn't notice that one.
Please let me know of all the other bugs you have in mind if any.
It would be nice to have BETA db separated or just freezed and have no connection to SC2 International db.
It's supposed to be the case, but due to the way it was developed, as few data as possible is duplicated between databases, unless needed.
Oh and my standard complain about Dimaga for still not showing up at elo ranking (while SarenS do). But I guess have to wait that one longer no hurries
That one's gonna be fixed next weekend (aka as soon as I get the chance).

SC2 TLPD seems to be completely broken.
TLPDizing
김상철 황강호 홍승표 홍원의
yields
["tlpd#players#1900#]Ensnare[/tlpd] ["tlpd#players#688#T]Losira[/tlpd] ["tlpd#players#1851#]Cella[/tlpd] ["tlpd#players#1858#]Chipmunk[/tlpd]
(the " are there to keep the code from rendering)
which yields
Losira
.
Because there's no race for Ensnare, Cella, and Chipmunk, those players simply don't render. Also, Losira renders because he played Starcraft 1... but he renders with the race he played in SC1, Terran, instead of the race he currently plays in SC2, Zerg.
Even when I add the appropriate race to the TLPD code, the output is like so:
Ensnare
Losira
Cella
Chipmunk
Clicking on Cella, Chipmunk, or Ensnare leads nowhere. They all have profiles in the SC2 TLPD, but TLPDizing their names fails to direct users to those profiles.
If these errors are just because TLPD 2 isn't finished yet, just say so and I'll shut up . But it seems like this could be fixed rather easity (although I don't pretend to know anything about coding and could be totally wrong.)

Yeah non-BW TLPDize is broken atm (not really broken as it never worked in the first place).

Suggestion:
There should be log for what happens inside team. Kinda like this way:
Team eSTRO log:
- Team created xxx (which is now there at the moment) - name changes (this is too) - Players joining team - Players leaving team
Maybe for future SC2 TLPD entries...

That's the way it works (roughly).
It's just buggy atm like lots of stuff since TLPD 1.5. With BW PL starting again I might finally get some motivation back again and fix all of this at last.

I do have two questions. Is every tournament outcome registered manually and which games are included?
I also have one suggestion. It would be very nice if the map stats are resetted after every balance patch or the patch numbers would be listed. TLPD SC2 is the only clear source of map stats.

Hi PoP,
I know the BW International current ELO is based on WCG '10, and the ELO peak is obviously based on all international tournaments. But what about the current TSLD ELO? Idra, Mondragon, Nony leading...is this based solely on TSL1 and TSL2 results? Qualifiers? IefNaij (JF) seems way too low if so, and Idra too high. Please help me figure out what they're based on T_T

Should Brainbox team matches be added to TLPD too?
I know its invitational but I guess they could be added as normal game instead of non elo game.
|
Did I just imagine it or were there ELOs for most Koreans a few days ago? Now just 5.

This has probably been suggested before, but the ability to rate matches would be cool (and to sort matches by rating).

Having a listing for former teams would be a pretty nice feature to have.
Right now, team pages only show current team members. Since players are now tagged with teams they were formerly a part of, would it be possible to list these players on the page of their former team? You could add another listing under the current roster or something.

There seems to be a problem with TLPD-ize which makes the links not work with the multiple player databases. When you TLPD-ize international sc2 players the names are usually linked to the korean SC:BW TLPD instead.
How do you go about updating TLDP anyways? Is there a "report results here" thread or is it a few dedicated people who does all the work?

Its a few dedicated people
Can you give me an example of which players this problem occurs with? I think if the same player occurs in more than one database then it defaults to their korean BW profile. It shouldn't be occurring for other SC2-specific players though.

The team history is and has been buggy since instituted. Its a systemic problem that we're looking into fixing.

I can't comment on the possibility of it (that's PoP's area of expertise), but over time that seems like it would just compound too much information into the one page. The Korean BW teams each probably have hundreds and hundreds of players that have played for them at any one time. It will likely be little different for Korean SC2, while it may be a bit more feasible for the international databases.
