Who the hell watches TV anymore anyway these days? :-)
No need at all for that in my opinion. Especially since you can chat/discuss with others while watching an HQ Stream.

I regard of the televise, due to the natural of starcraft. not knowing when the game will end. It is hard to treat starcaft as regular TV show. this can only be done on channel specialize gaming or some sort. I have no idea how Korean does it in BW.

Well not knowing when the game will end just requires a bit more in depth view on production. Bringing on the tennis again (ah that's so easy): Tennis match consists of 3 sets, Bo3, and you don't really know how long each set will be, sometimes it can be 20 minutes, sometimes it can be 40 minutes. So it's pretty much the same with StarCraft. The biggest difference here is that while in tennis the game can last pretty much indefinitely, and I've seen matches lasting more than 8 hours, in StarCraft there is an actual time limit. You can't really play for long time after the map gets mined out. So in our case it's actually easier to make predictions. It's all comes down to making a broadcast schedule, that will fit the "average lasting matches" with some "buffers" in between. If the match was shorter than planned you just have to prepare enough content in advance (interviews, analysis, etc) to keep viewers watching before the next scheduled match begins. And if the match is longer than expected you just keep that match on, letting it overlap with the next one. It's getting harder to manage something like finals, but basically that's the idea behind any sports broadcast.

Governing body, sponsorship, TV rights, promotions, merchandise. etc... It works because it's organized through a heirarchy where stakeholders have entry points, defined roles and opportunities for profit. The problem with what the OP wrote is that ragtag internet broadcasts can't foster the cooperation needed between various entities and arbitrate conflicting interests between groups.
