They decided they only want the actual game to decide the outcome, no typing mindgames, no personal messages to the fans, nothing except playing. I can understand that. ya but there is a difference between mind fucking your opponent and accidentally typing a at the start of the game. They can have a rule against typing but it doesn't have to be so cut and dry.

A good rule Kespa can make is: -No typing at all during game except indication of surrender, acceptance of opponent's surrender, and request for pause.

Yea it's totally rational for someone to FLIP out because well Boxer said "my base is small." Lol what? First off, it's a warfare game, believing anything your opponent is typing in relation to the game is stupid in the first place. Second off, if you must... how about you restrict chatting from god damn game elements, it's not that hard. Plenty of great moments happened during earlier SC because you were actually able to banter between players and create actual rivalries. Getting DQ'd for typing the letter a is ludicrous on any scale. No.. it is a stupid rule. If you believe anything your opponent types you're a moron and it's unlikely to work in the first place because nothing is restricting your information gathering in starcraft. Please spare me.

Typing was not uncommon before the rule was passed. Indeed, Boxer is a showman and as a showman he simply said "Base too small T_T" to which the crowd/commentators laughed; like a true showman. However, Junitoss (his opponent), had really bad problems with his nerves and he freaked out and got paranoid. Indeed, because of Junitoss's poor nerves this shit happens now.

Else the door would be wide open to manipulation, favoritism and all kinds of generally unfair rulings.

It's not even comparable to typing pp instead of ppp, especially since GoRush already screwed up last game. He really shouldn't have typed it in the first place, and should know to not do spam that would make him press enter accidentally with these rules. If Kespa had let it slip basically people could just start typing whatever and then complain about how kespa doesn't treat everyone the same etc. Correct ruling this time. Your argument isnt very strong, when do players type whatever, there should be no official ruling about typing, or rather no punishment for a one time offense or even 2, if anything a dq should be given after the refs discrection and only before a warning, Its not like they go around typing bm nonsense. the GG rule is utterly stupid. Backho zizi'd early, and they reacted by saying only gg is allowed and anything else is forfeit. Kespa is clearly pretty dumb with the new rulings. If anything only conversation or any kind of communication to the opponent should be banned no some accidental character typed while spamming. Utterly stupid. GJ Kespa, Again what a dumb fucking regulating body, they have become worse than boxing.

this should be the new element on sc strategy! typing in game about fake drops, rushes, etc. that would create a whole new level in strategy. but no, kespa is gay
