Nice, will be interested how EU will play out with Serral out and Reynor playing from Korea. Im counting on Clem/MaxPax/Heromarine/Showtime beeing the top contenders, but the opportunity for someone to claim top4 other then the normal is higher then for a long time

ESL probably has the "replacement EU qualifier"-Tweet already in store, just waiting to send it :D

Shame Goat Serral couldn’t compete due to military
At least this will give an extra spot for someone new hopefully Showtime or maxpax can rise to this occasion

Does Finland not offer military exemption for athletes?

Serral already is in a special unit that deals with this kind of stuff. Which is the reason why he is optimistic that he will be able to play both big tournaments coming up. BASILISK also hasn't announced any new player, which they definetly would need to do if Serral wouldn't be able to play the entire season. I would assume him dropping out of the regional is just to safe up some free-time, also he just started his military service, so maybe he can't get exceptions right from the get-go?

no Serral - Reynor/MaxPax/Clem having some party . Have fun!

Lemon 3-0'ing the Swiss group with wins over Nice, Oliveira, and Firefly is actually the biggest upset ever in the EPT/DHM era.
|
Now Lemon needs to demolish Has in the playoffs to make his collection complete!
|
Insane run by Lemon, what an absolute dream run allready I hope he can keep it going
|
Oliveira lost to Nanami. Are you kidding me?
|
Last round will be someone who was 2-1 before round 4 vs someone who was 1-2 before round 4 right? Firefly vs Oliveria is impossible?
Hope Oliveira gets back to form. Even pre world championship this would have been a shocking result.

history of asia region competition says it actually almost NEVER happens to anyone compared to other regions

Jieshi, Cyan, Coffee, and Lemon (apparently) would probably all be contenders to make playoffs in EU as well. They just don't many opportunities to show it.

Oliveira won SCV. Firefly won Has. They are both in Top 8 of asia region.

Special is out of NA after losses to trigger, Future and Nina.
That would have been unthinkable like 1-2 years ago, do we know if he still plays full time? He used to be multiple leagues above those guys
