Some weeks I just get tr8 over and over and some others it works fine (tr16)... So I think definitely Blizzard did something to their servers

where -suddenly "europeans players have dropped from the game" -they can't join bnet ( therefore they switch to asia in bnet app allowing them to join server) -lag issues with high TR24 in ranked. -2v2 difficult to play in high demand time, some countries dont have robust infrastructure in their networks

For the last two days about 90% of my games have been TR8 with lag spikes. yeah similar thing happened to me over past few days. It's almost unplayable now even though my computer is otherwise running normally.

Would be good if blizzard could give a statement about it.

Obviously, the lag I am experience is due to the coronvirus in some capacity because I do not believe this is a coincidence. What concerns me is that other Americans are unaffected and can play as usual. Also, the lag comes and goes. So there isn't really any rhyme or reason to this madness and not everyone is affected.

We should make a poll to see who all IS and IS NOT feeling lag. Are you feeling the menu screen lagging horribly as well as in the game a lot? The menu always lags for me, I am really considering getting a new computer -_-

It's due to something related to the quarantine/virus.

Realized eventually that my port forward for 6112 was misconfigured on my router when I tried to host a custom and saw the red message "Your connection is being routed through a proxy server". Think maybe the proxy servers have changed/are affected by the current state of things, fixed the setting and no lag vs Koreans anymore. Can you explain any changes you made to the settings? I opened up 6112-6119 but it didn't help at all. In fact, nothing helps. I just wait for whatever time needs to pass and then things are good again.. Until they aren't anymore.

It's very likely just overloaded Blizzard servers coupled with high traffic for US broadband carriers. Without going too technical, if I can make the assumption you have Cable, since your problem is the same as mine ... Cable works on a one-for-all backbone. Meaning, your advertised speeds, you won't always achieve those if the folks around you are also using theirs. And that's likely the case here with everyone on their computers on quarantine -- I've done speed tests the same time as I find that the lag problem occurs, and 1) speed tests are a bit lower, but even more importantly than that for lag, 2) the latency/ping is a bit worse which in effect hurts us when playing. It's likely whatever backbone/node I am on from my cable provider, it's becoming overly congested. I assume the same for you. Think of the timing too ... if I play at midnight, it's clear because less overall traffic. If I play at 3pm, I might find the problem most during then due to traffic (everyone is working from home and using video calls, Netflix in the background, etc). On a side note, if you have a carrier like Verizon FiOs, you may not be effected by this, because those fiber connections aren't "one-for-all" - they're actually "dedicated lines" ... anyways, don't want to make this a technical networking discussion. I'll stop there. There's really not much we can do and you probably just need to accept it. If anything, you may want to try doing basic things like powercycling, or seeing if your splitter is old and needs to be replaced. Also, I read you're playing through wireless -- so perhaps one thing to consider would be to change the channel on which you operate. There's probably a lot of extra interference in the given times, so if you move to another frequency channel, it could help. Other than that, just leave it be, man.

Can you explain any changes you made to the settings? I just pointed my old forwarding rule for 6112 to the right local IP which also made the "Your connection will be routed through a proxy server" warning go away when hosting custom games. I went from having to set extra high for games to be even playable/nonstuttery to comfortable 16 low games from NA. Your issue could easily be some other form of congestion, but some people might be helped by looking into this. I had no issue until the quarantine started which is why I think proxy server routing might have changed somehow.
