JD plays with a 12 hatch, is unlucky with his overlord, but smashes his opponent all the game around, loses a couple of mutas here and there and still wins just to tide, why ?
Shouldnt he have a higher advantage after playing with 12 hatch and clearly surviving it ...
I suppose the spores he needs to put out are just so expensive ... But still this feels to close for me ...
Great 9 pool defence (he bearly lost any drones), economical lead for whole early game, he nearly doubled the amount of drones of his opponent I imagine, and lastly, he got away with his hidden 6 oclock base that ultimatetly won him the game
He would have lost if opponent found his 6 oclock base though.
FlaSh isn't around for a long time, maybe it's time to grab a trophy for Tyrant? He isn't playing BW that much, and I understand because of his wrists but if he devotes his time again we can witness that KSL 1 resurgency very soon.
Crazy defense, but honestly, it was basically Jaedong just fighting to survive the entire game. It's amazing he won given how many drones, spores, and mutas he lost for free. There's one point where Jaedong loses literally an entire group of mutalisks for free so he can pick off 3 drones at the 3rd.
A large part of why Jaedong falls so far behind is specifically the spore in the main. He has so much trouble getting that second spore up and loses so many drones and his gas because of it. Even when he finally has mutas out, only half of his mineral line in the main can actually mine because it's exposed to muta harass. Part of it was his opponent's insanely good muta micro, but part of it was also Jaedong just failing in execution.
