Lol i specifically said "try to ruin". He did a lot of damage, but he didn't even come close to ruining the game.

It´s depressing how Savior tarnished his career, I wonder how many depressing defeats were really him playing bad on purpose and how many was his long bad streak.

As far as i know he didn;t actively thrown any of his games as by that time he wasn't a top tier player anymore, rather he became a sorts of middle man between the illegal betting companies/korean gangsters and recruit other progamers some of which were strong performers (hwasin/luxury/yarnc) to fix matches.

As far as you know being heard from where exactly? I don't want to keep bringing up old dirt but I cannot let this stuff fly. Savior ruined many good people's careers and possible lifes (upmagic ) and now people are trying to whitewash his history with "oh he only acted as a middleman" skit? FIRSTLY: As far as I know the only person saying he wasn't throwning matches was Savior himself, who was the only matchfixer never to apologise, who spent the entire scandal continually lying and denying everything until he was practically forced to by court in order to get off with the fine. SECONDLY: Was anyone else here around when people were absolutely baffled how Savior's skill could fall down so badly? I remember someone mentioning how Savior was the only old school player who actually got worse after his prime (as opposed to NaDa Boxer etc. getting better but simply being surpassed by newer generations). THIRDLY: Even if this bs is true. Being a middle-man is WORSE then throwing matches himself. Instead of ruining his own career, he was actively and knowing ruining other people's careers and corrupting the entire proscene. I can't find the quote but I'll paraphrase what one of the commentators adressed to Savior after the scandal broke: "How could you destroy what your elders gave their blood sweat and tears to build?" If there was ever any real proof to exonerate Savior I'm all for forgiving him. But all I've ever heard are random rumours who seem designed just to whitewash the one person in the entire scandal who imo should not be let off the hook.

That´s something at least, but it´s impossible to be sure with these things. There will always be suspicions if he started again with Starcraft 2.

Coincidentally, Bisu is currently on a 3 game losing streak. Will he end that streak today?
