Dr. Kennigit (PHD) here from the Kennigit Institute For Advanced Beta Release Studies (KIABRS for short).
As some of you may remember, through months of research, math, and science i predicted that the Starcraft 2 Beta would be announced/launched on July 17.

Beta Keys were also rolled out to the Press Late last month in order to reserve there ID handles and a small string of beta keys were handed out July 2nd to the friends & family beta. I had hands on time with SC2 at Blizz HQ.

Conversation between me and a friend on MSN...
Here we can see that some guy was applying for jobs and was given a beta key when he went to Blizzard HQ (wtf Ubisoft Montreal over Brizzurd?!??!!....a significant source of error). The most pressing information is obviously that the friends and family beta has started. We've known that an alpha build was being tested company wide for the last couple months and F&F betas last anywhere between 1 week and a month. The average of 1 + 30 is 15.5 or sumthin and of course one must consider the natural Chaos that is Blizzard release cycles.

I talked to a few people from different sites who were at the press conference who all had similar experience of
"X said they were hoping for some time within the next month"...that was at the end of June.
