type-b: "This OSL is my first."
"I am glad that I have gotten another chance."

(Z)type-b has successfully qualified his first OSL after his win in his group C of the Bacchus OSL 2009 Preliminaries, held on the 1st of May at the Yongsan e-Sports Indoor Stadium.

The following is the interview with type-b.

- Your thoughts on your first OSL qualification.
▲ I think this is the first time I have passed the preliminaries in a year. And this is my first OSL qualification. I feel really good. I had never qualified for the OSL, and it is also because it is our team's company's individual league. I did not play much in individual leagues recently, so I am glad that I have gotten another chance.

- You had a rough time in your group.
▲ The matches were very tough. I waited very long, but besides that, my opponents were very strong players. There were times I overdid myself and lost a game I could have won, and many games turned out differently from what I expected.

- Your most difficult match?
▲ It was the second game against (T)Really. The map was Return of the King. Even when I think back about it now, I still can't reorganize myself. That was how close that game was. It was a game filled with never-ending chaos.

- Hite's players are performing great so far.
▲ (T)go.go usually passes the preliminaries with ease. (Z)HoGiL was originally the second-best Zerg in our team, behind (Z)YellOw[ArnC]. I believe that those two will definitely qualify. I am still very lacking in my skills.

- Your target for this OSL?
▲ I think that I need to somehow work hard enough and get into the Round of 16. If I get eliminated at the Round of 36, I will have to go through the preliminaries once more. I really hate the preliminaries.

- Any final words?
▲ I hope the rest of my teammates qualify. They have been practicing extremely hard lately.

HoGiL: "I will practice with all my strength like mad."
"I believe my results are slowly but surely improving."

(Z)HoGiL has successfully qualified this season's OSL after his win in his group D of the Bacchus OSL 2009 Preliminaries, held on the 1st of May at the Yongsan e-Sports Indoor Stadium.

The following is the interview with Hogil.

- Your thoughts on your qualification?
▲ This is my third qualification. My results in the recent preliminaries have not been good, and my broadcasted games weren't that good either. I have been slowly winning games in Proleague, and I wanted to keep this momentum going and qualify.

- You have shown to get extremely nervous on stage. How well do you fare during practice?
▲ It has always been good, but strangely enough, every time I play on stage, I cannot display my skills properly because of my nervousness. I had even thought whether this was the right path for me when I was slumping. But I started gaming since young, and if I quit now, I will have nothing else I can do, so I practiced extremely hard. That is why I think that my recent games have been good.

- Were there any tough matches?
▲ In the first round, I got too nervous and lost, and I could not focus. At that moment, Ju Jin Chul coach came over and helped me to calm down. Other than the first game, the rest were not that difficult.

- How was your finals against (T)Midas?
▲ I played it with a calm mind. I told myself that I had nothing to lose, even if I got eliminated, so I did not feel heavily burdened.

- Show us your willingness to enter the Round of 36.
▲ I will practice with all my strength like mad, as though this is my last chance. I will work hard so that I will make it into the Round of 16.

I already stated a reason for posting interviews like this in the previous thread.

And besides, I am already linking them to the official interviews and translations thread here, so you can just go there and take your pick and start reading.

I agree...I promise to bump the original thread every time a new interview comes up! Separating the interviews into ~10 topics will make many readers miss the first ones, not to mention it will probably really clutter up the BW forum.

I kind of like the discussion that goes on when interviews are posted like this though.

If you think about it, it's very sad. If one of my kid wanted to become a pro-gamer one day, I would just tell him no.

I remember this sentence of JF, in TLAttrack. Chill asked him if he had ever thougt of becoming a pro-gamer. JF laughed and said "Why would I go lose my time in Korea".
The fellow who is out to burn things up is the counterpart of the fool who thinks he can save the world. The world needs neither to be burned up nor to be saved. The world is, we are. Transients, if we buck it; here to stay if we accept it. ~H.Miller

That's true, but in this case there's going to be SO many interviews it'd really clutter the forum to have like 12 of them floating around, and these prelim interviews are generally shorter than other interviews.

Education is still an option for gamers. Mind is still in high school (I think?), and I remember from interviews Crazy-Hydra, Pure, and XellOs were taking courses while they were still progamers as well.
edit: er, I meant to edit this into my last post, sorry for the double post -_-

Hmmm... both Hite players. Coincidence, or are you getting free beer from this, konadora? Wemade must be informed. -_-

Edit: Your poll question cannot be answered, because you give both options and ask Yes/No.

This is true. The voting options need to be something along the lines of
(Vote): One thread per interview
(Vote): One thread with all the interviews
