I recieved a PM a few moments ago about a post I made on the 'How to find a good low level clan to play with' thread, about starting a clan. And after some thought I guess we could make it happen if we have some interest.
I use the term 'clan' very loosely.
I reckon it would be really usefull to run the clan like a training clinic. A place for people to come, play some games, get some practice and help train each other. With regular and varied meeting times. We can also invite some of the 'better players' IF ANY are willing, to come in for a couple of hours every week, maybe every 2 weeks, to run some sort of 'battle camp', offering expert play tips, maybe look at a few peoples replays and take them through some ways of becoming better.
For this to be any kind of success in the way I envision it, the clan will have to be completely open. So anyone with a strong will to improve their game can come along, have a friendly chat about their play, get some tips and get some practise done.
This would also make for a more varied playing field, so players will have Terran, Zerg AND Protoss players to practice with, rather than pot luck when creating/joining a normal game.
For instance, I personally have a problem with mass mined vulture rushes, so it would be good for me to play vs T till I can get a grip of it. Im sure other people have things that they have trouble with and this would make the perfect place to learn how to overcome these problems.

Art is huge but it was mostly on hamachi...
I think it would be better to have one in US WEST, we could maybe fuse this with Hi.Team...
They have a lot of active players and stuff.. and rA- just died so I need people to hang out with =)

Hi.Team is one of the more active clans around West right now, so that's a possibility.

Sounds good infested, yes, although hamachi is good, unless you pay a fee, your limited to a number of players, which is not good. Our meeting places will probably be on USWEST, since most people are there already.
This is still really just an idea, the finer points still need attention, but im sure it will all fall into place.
But yes, are you in contact with Hi.Team? Feel free to find out if they are willing to take part in any way.
Ive already had some interest on MSN, so its lookin good so far!

I'm interested for sure. The ability to know your opponant and talk after the game are things that you can't get playing random people on ICC. These are benefits that the clan would have even if you didn't have the training aspect of having stronger players.
Please count me in if you ever work something out.

us foreigners are the biggest dodgers ever... thats something that I hate about the community.. everyone is either pussies or think they are too good to play wit any1.. I mean look at sea playing games with foreigners he just barely met and could leak reps etc... he s nice enough and plays etc.. never dodged whenever steve would ask him to play some1.. i dont know we need to change that mentality and if u get on bnet just play for gods sake
