With one week and one day to go, the Weekly Stats Report is finally back! It's almost impossible to find a time to post this with all the new news going up at the moment, so let's hope no-one posts before me this time!

In the team standings, the top is starting to look a little bit clearer, but not by much. Barring two 3-0 losses, the top two places are secured, with both SKT and Samsung almost certainly going through to either the playoff final or semi-final.

Right on their heels is KTF, who only have one match left this season against the top team Samsung. Even with a loss though, KTF is almost certain to make a play-off spot.

I have a correction to make here: The top 6 teams will reach the play-offs, not only the top 4. The top team qualifies directly for the final, while the second team qualifies for the semi-finals. The third to sixth teams play against each other in an elimination tournament, and the winner goes to the semi-finals.

Similarly, Lecaf Oz and STX SouL should have their positions secured, but two losses might see WeMade Fox take a place over one of them in the top 6. Much will depend on the number of games won or lost in the last few matches.

In the map rankings we see Terran finally move past Protoss with a 53.4% winning percentage. This shows Terran's stronger results on the new maps, compared to Protoss's stronger results on the old maps. Looking at Terran's results on the new maps, we see that only Andromeda has a less than 50% winning percentage (48.4%), while all the other maps sport positive winning percentages.

Zerg, on the other hand, has continued to show that it cannot survive on many of the new maps, especially Wuthering Heights, where Zerg has been tested only five times this season, and have won only one game so far. Colosseum might seem like a strong map for Zerg with a 66% winning percentage, but the fact is that Zerg has only been played on the map three times this season, definitely pointing to a perceived imbalance against Zerg on the map.

Flash continues to reign at the top of the rankings, but he hasn't been able to improve on his score since much earlier in the season. In his last twelve games in the proleague, Flash has gone 6-6. While this might appear to be a sign of decreasing consistency or strength in Flash, it seems more like a trend that has continued through the seasons, with a top player being unable to improve on their score consistently. Pure has gone 4-4 in his last 8 games, compared with 8-0 in his first 8 games, and Best and Ruby show similar stats.

Looking at the rankings in general, we see that the rankings are fairly representative of the map stats, with Terran players dominating top of the log with six players, while Protoss holds its own on three players, and Zerg scrapes in with one player.

The reason why Protoss might are under-represented (in comparison with Terran) is because the maps on which Protoss do well (Katrina and Blue Storm), are the 1v1 maps played the least in the proleague, and weaker Protoss players are often sent out on these maps. Protoss players that are at the top of the rankings have gotten there by dominating on old and new maps.

All Protoss. Along with the all protoss trend, a second trend that should be noted is the preference for the dominating teams to play on Hunters, with only Rumble and Bul_T specializing on Hannibal. While this might not show an imbalance for Protoss on Hunters, it might show that Hunters is more predictable and easier to deliver consistent results on.

TT and Jihyun remain at the top with a clear lead at 6+, while Roro and Rock make a new appearance at the top of the list, and Rumble and Bul_T secure their position at the top of the list. A Terran-based team that has barely missed the top 5 is Max and Piano who are also on +3.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this and are now up to date with the Proleague. There's barely more than one week to go which will determine who makes it into the final 6, and who doesn't. From now on, every match is crucial for every team, and an unnecessary loss, or an unconvincing win, could cost a team a top spot.

See you all after the last match for a look at the final matches of the season, as well as a look at the play-offs. Cheers.

Looks like WeMade has a relatively easy upcoming match list. Do you think it'd be safe to say that WeMade will make it into the top 6 then (in other words, assuming your predictions are true, will they?)?

And thanks for these! It's so hard for me to keep up with ProLeague since games occur so often. You've been a huge help :D

Would you mind saying why this is outdated, rather than simply saying it's outdated? I think the WeMade game has already happened, although these stats are as up to date as the TLPD stats were when this was done. So it's outdated by one day. Sorry about that.

SKT is looking better and better atm. Their lineup is all starting to pull their weight, their 2v2 is on the rise and even Bisu is now hitting positive win/loss figures.

Plexa's STX prediction came true, sorta. And Lecaf might be knocked out with Anytime slumping...

I thought it was rank 1 goes to final, Rank 2 to semis and 3 and 4 play to see who goes to Semis?

Pretty sure it's just 4 teams in the playoffs, and that the 6 team thing is for the super-long proleague season after this one. I trust Sea!

Guys, that's what I thought as well, but supposedly it's top 6 that go through.

+ Show Spoiler [my source] +

here's the korean source:
Basic format of post season (regular season ends on july 13th)
3rd vs 4th,
5th vs 6th.
Winner of those 2 play each other, loser=4th, winner goes to challenge 2nd place team.
Winner of those guys get to challenge the 1st place team.

so top 6 teams make it to post season but it's a lot easier for the 1st/2nd place finishers in the regular season to win the grand finals.

I'm looking forward to more Bisu now, he's 4-1 against Protoss this season in Proleague and 6-5 now overall, keep it up! He was my hero when I first started watching, then he started to suck. Good to see him doing at least something now.

Idk, I'm a bit skeptical thats its 6, because Wemade would be in the running and playing alot of lineups that don't include Mind or Nada.
