Park Chan Soo or Luxury is easily my current favourite player. I might even like him as much as fakesteve likes Sea ("No" fakesteve says, "no one likes anyone as much as I like Sea" he types while rubbing his hairless behind against the crotchal area on a life size picture of Sea displaying his not existing manliness) (please don't ban me). I started noticing him in the Proleague round 2, at first for his ZvZ, which as we know is one of the two best in the world right now.
Then I heard a rumor that he was also good at TvZ, and I was not to be disappointed when I got to see what he could do. TvZ is the most important match up to be good at for Zerg since the starleauges used to crawl with Terran players (before Katrina and Blue Storm...) and it is also the "hard match up" for Zergs. Sure he lost to RuBy (read my first article about RuBy here), Hwasin, iloveoov, Flash (trying to 4pool) and forGGs really nice execution of the vults into wraiths build on Blue Storm, what you should notice though, is that during this time he won against, among others, Hiya, mind, upmagic, memory, forGG adding to his body count more often than losing. Most of the time in a nice, fresh and dominant style. Sure, he's lost against the cream of the crop, and not beaten that many of the best TvZers out there yet. After all, these games were before he started going on a roll so those old games don't weigh so much. Despite losing his first game in MBC survivor, MSL ro32, OSC and ODT four out of four times, four out of four times he won the other two games though, performing superbly under pressure. An interesting thing to note on his ZvT is his unpredictability; he hasn't shown us many games with a normal 3hatch muta-lurks-defilers-ultralisks. Instead he has shown us 2hatches (performing better than I've ever seen before, with the exception of his brother), 3hatch lurks-ultra, mass mutalisk builds and the, now well tested, 3hatch muta-ultra build with which sAviOr continues to fail with and Luxury keeps owning with.
After seeing him tear Xellos multiple new assholes it's clear that Luxury will only be stopped by a really good TvZ:er.

"That was easy"
His ZvP remains largely untested, since his groups have been stacked with terrans. The few recent games are his zergling rush which eliminated Stork from the MSL, his very nice response to Much's weird build during the semi playoffs and losses to Much and Anytime in proleague and OSC, both highly respectable players. Light will be cast on his true ZvP level soon since he will be facing - the master of man love himself - Bisu in the upcoming OSL game, where we will hopefully see more of the reason why I'm such a fan. The way these two have been performing lately, and still considering the fact that PvZ is Bisu's best match up and that ZvP might be Luxury's "worst" match up this game could go either way. + Show Spoiler +

What? I'm supposed to be good against zerg?
However the fight goes, I'd say Luxury is pretty locked on a spot in OSL right now, but who knows, something might happen on the way (I hope he wins so that July or Xellos can get in on the action instead). According to TLPD, Luxury and Bisu have a record of 1-1 with luxury taking the latest win during the OGN vs. MBC derby, so bet wisely.
The MSL on the other hand, is a whole different story. There he is facing an even tougher opponent. It is the feared, on-fire, ZvZ god and reigning OSL champ Lee Jae Dong, which surprisingly is the only Zerg performing well these days that I don't like. And yes, I know he's not a good choice for a hate object since he's tearing shit up left and right after his OSL win, but I can't help it, I just find him boring. Guess who I'm rooting for? I hope you will all agree that this match will not be a walk in the park for Jaedong. They are both performing excellent, it's their best match up and they both want this really bad. Their history shows a 2-1 score for Lux, the most recent game being on Blue storm which might help you in your liquibetting (even though you probably have already placed your votes...) + Show Spoiler +

and this is how awkwardly pleased he was with himself right after.

I voted Luxury in a heartbeat. It might just be a wish or more like a prayer for him to win, but I'd say that it's far from decided who's going to come out alive. Of course, my MSL bracket contest entry had Luxury winning the whole thing, which will demand a lot from Luxury, but hardly impossible either. If Luxury can win against Jaedong, he has good chances at taking the whole damn thing after putting away the one biggest threat in the whole MSL. The series will probably end in a couple of games where the deciding factor will be either chance (there are some aspects of the MU where "luck" can play a part) or BO advantages. They will probably micro and macro near perfectly and you will be left wondering if ZvZ will ever be fun to watch again.

To be honest, I don't know if the pictures I linked to are of Lux or Yarnc, but who will notice the difference? And thanks for the tips on finding pictures from FIFO and FOMOS, no wait! No one helped me out when I asked for help in my first article.
Thank you, you fucking bastards. + Show Spoiler +
