Update: Pusan agrees to stay with MBCgame for 50,000/year for one year.
It has been confirmed that July has indeed asked for a waiver.
I have decided to make a "proper" (as WiP would call it) newspost about the imminent departure of Julyzerg and Pusan from MBCgame so that users do not have to dig through the threads to find the essential information.

Park Seung Jun, better known as MBC game's Julyzerg, has been put on waivers by his team. This means that all teams are free to bid for the God of War's services.
The problem arose due to July's expiring contract of approximately 140,000 USD/year. MBCgame proposed a paycut to their star zerg player, based on his poor results during the 2006 year. (As far as I can recall, he did not have any notable showings in either major league other than his 2nd place finish during 2005 Shinhan Bank Starleague)
Julyzerg was not pleased with this proposed paycut, (partially because MBCgame won the 2006 proleague grandfinals over SKT1) and thus asked the team to release him.
Although it is not determined whether SKT1 will be the team to pick him up, their deep pockets, the vacancy of Lim Yo Hwan's salary obligations, as well as their anemic zerg lineup would make the move a logical choice.
With a bevy of emerging stars on the team, MBCgame has decided that these two veterans were not worth their current salaries. Although these reports are not official, an official announcement is expected soon.

▶I find to plan a team that needs me. I will try to see as many teams as possible. If they choose me, I'll try my best not to fail them. Poor July. I hope he will find new team soon.

I put this in the other thread, but JuNiToSs (Protoss) and Sz.1 (Zerg) from MBC are retiring (not moving to another team) because of salary issues, and that their decision to retire is probably because they are lower tier players.

Wow. I read in the other threads and thought the consensus was just that it was a mistake.
Doesnt surprise me that this is happening(And will probably happen to a lot of other players soon). All these rookies coming in and the competition heating up combined with slumping dudes is gonna slash the rates on the mid-top players.
Edit: Also I find it MILDLY amusing that they are saying they both didnt do shit, when they were two huge factors for them winning proleague;]

Anyways it's sad to see JulyZerg and Pusan leaving MBC. Sorta. Even though I really like SKT1. Hopefully that can bring more practice for the team and make SKT1 the best! But since boxer is in ACE now  hmm...

While the idea of both of them going to SKT would be cool, I still hope this is not the start of the "dominance of money" that is present in other sports where some well payed teams just buy every rising star and their dominance becomes boring.
I know that this will not be the case now, just hope this wont start a trend..

Little teams like GO, hanbit, soul etc would have to sell players to survive;;
hence, Gorush went to SKT, GF went to KTF etc

wow...i've always seen July and Pusan as being part of MBC Hero, even in the old days of P.O.S., they were together on the same team, same coach
that sucks how they might have to move...but just because of salary conditions one has to move sucks
