Yarnc > Chojja with some timing on the initial muta battle and scourge micro before Chojja's exp kicked in.

missed most of the game.
ChoJJa had an early expo at the end, Yamc won the first air battle with 3/4 mutas & a pair of scourge vs 3 mutas and two more that hatched too late. ChoJJa typed out after losing his 2nd set of mutas.

How the players selected for this event? I havent read much about it. Do they do it from rankings or something?

New game. Chojja vs. Yarnc on 815. Chojja bottom left, Yarnc top left. ZvZ is very interesting on this map with no natural gas.
Yarnc opens 9 ol gas/11 pool
Chojja 12 hatch exp.
Yarnc's build is much better suited for this map in my opinion, Chojja will have a harder time defending 2 places, he can't abuse ling advantage because of narrow ramps, and will be behind in gas.

Chojja has to spore up, as expected, and Yarnc has air control with his larger number of mutas.
Yarnc catches Chojja's mutas out in the open and attack chases them, killing them. Muta count is like 8 to 1. Chojja is so dead. Both players tearing up each other's mains but it doesn't matter. Yarnc has over a dozen muta and Chojja has like 6. After that battle Yarnc masses enough muta to break the spore defense of Chojja and gg.
2-0 Yarnc.

Terrible play from ChoJJa, he had no right playing today with that showing.

i still dont get it why did he take the exp?? there's no gas in it... as he had to build 2 spores instead of one... seriously stupid decisions ;(

Yes that's about the worst of the standard builds I can imagine in ZvZ on this map. All of the usual advantages are gone and all of the weaknesses remain. Bad bad strategy.
