D Ranks Practice Partners can be thought of as an extension to the main DRTL team. This topic is to give those players the experience of the DRTL practice environment, without the commitment.
The D Ranks Practice Partners (DRPP) Draft for the D Ranks Teamleague Season 6 is formally announced. Any beginner players who have achieved a max rank of D+ on iCCup are eligible for the draft.
What is expected of drafted Practice Partners?
Drafted PPs (practice partners) will be expected to play fun matches against the members of their D Ranks Team, for the purpose of improvement, friendship, and community.
Players are not expected to commit to playing the game at all. To be drafted is simply a means by which interested players who can't afford a full DRTL time commitment can find a team of similarly skilled players to play against. If you're interested in the game, but you're not sure how often you will play, sign up!
How do I sign up to be a Practice Partner?
Post in this topic in the following format.

Can PPs play in DRTL matches?
Not until they become a playing member of the team.
How does a Practice Partner become a playing member of the team?
- They post in the DRTL6 main topic declaring their intent to join their DRTL team. If they have skill over iCCup D+, they will not become a playing member. Skill will be judged subjectively on a case by case basis.
- After their post, wait until another DRTL match has been played.
- After the match has been played, they may be added to the next lineup.
When is the draft?
The draft will take place on Saturday, Mar 15 5:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00).
Postponed until more team captains are available.
Draft Procedure- The draft will go in order of reverse seed from the previous DRTL season results. The team in last place from DRTL5 will pick first, and the team that won the previous DRTL will pick last. All rounds will have the same pick order, with the exception of teams that were tied in the order, who will alternate picks in subsequent rounds.
- The captain (or proxy designated by the captain) of each team will contact me, via iCCup chat in channel op Teamliquid, TL PM, or by posting in this topic, with the name of the player from the pool they would like to draft.
- Once the player has been drafted, they will be removed from the pool and the next team captain (or proxy) will pick.
Once the initial draft has finished, the following will occur for new players signing up to be in the PP pool.
- The player will be immediately drafted into the team next on the draft list, OR
- After one week, teams will draft the new players, starting with the next team in order, perhaps on match day every week.

End of DRTL Season
At the end of each DRTL season, PPs will have the opportunity to declare themselves regular members of DRTL teams, to participate regularly in the next DRTL. Those who do not can choose to stick with their DRTL team as a PP, or go back into the pool. The pool will be redrafted and those PPs reshuffled according to which team desires them.
PPs are also encouraged to practice with each other.

I have a shitty set up now (laptop and now usb keyboard, stuff like that) and suck ass, lose to the likes of Chrisolo (fu Ling All-in) and related German people. Might be fun to play a few games, even though I most likely don't qualify for the DRTL at all (high rank C or something better, I never played more than ~70 games on the ladder). Might be I have some stupid suggestions / feedback if you play me, it'd just be about playing sometimes non-ladder against not too brutally skilled players, given that my APM nowadays is barely 150 if I try hard.

Edit: Perhaps also it would be possible to include C- and better players in the DRPP draft, with the exception that they would not be able to commit to a DRTL team. Let me know your thoughts on that in the DRPP topic.
The DRPP is a thing for players who can't play DRTL out of time constrains but allows them to be associated with some teams such that they have some one to play with? If they are not part of the competition then I guess they are welcome.

Exactly. However, DRPP players may decide they want to join DRTL, at which time they will be evaluated and prevented from joining if they have skill higher than D+.

This is for people who can't participate in DRTL due to time clashes or other reasons. So pebble, if you are going to play then I think your are ineligible for this. Actually this all is presented in a rather confusing and convoluted way that I also almost signed up, not realizing that I don't belong here as I am already taking part in DRTL.
