Big changes: StarCraft 2 removed from the organization
Behind roughly 10 months of constant progress in the players as well as in the team in multiple sectors. StarCraft 2 was our first pick in the start when Samuli "elfi" Sihvonen joined as our figurehead even before ENCE eSports was officially announced. The goal was to build a coherent, supportive team around the captain, one which had never been seen in Finland before.
Soon after the team expanded with new young and promising players Joona "Serral" Sotala and Jaakko "Jagelius" Koski. With these players our road to a solid and recognizable organization was in good shape. However, sometimes the future can't be completely built beforehand, and as we saw with our CS:GO squad, unpredictable changes may happen. Hopefully, the changes this time will create something better.
The decision to drop the StarCraft 2 squad was made only a couple of days ago when the team captain [elfi] announced that now on he wanted to focus only on his own game and quit the administrative tasks in the team. ENCE's idea from the start has been to support and develop the Finnish esports, and without this corner stone [elfi], the continuation of the squad was deemed impossible. On top of his own play, Samuli's tasks included organizing the weekly practice for the team, streaming and writing a monthly blog of the team.
"The last year I played in the Finnish organization called ENCE eSports. There was a lot of good in the year, and we accomplished good results. However, times change and I have come to the decision that it is the best for me to continue my career elsewhere. I felt that I had to decide whether I continue as a pro gamer or not, and I have decided to still carry on fighting, which led me to this conclusion [of leaving ENCE].", Samuli comments on the decision.
It is time to turn the page, leave StarCraft 2 behind and move on towards new challenges. Many great events, victories and defeats shared together shall remain in the memories like those moments of success which have left us proud, grown us and taken us forward.

Whatever team he joins will win Proleague. True story.
|
Any rumors on a new team or personal sponsor?
|
Elfi will switch races to random and be the new emperor of proleague. Peole will remember guys like flash, maru or parting as "elfis witnesses"....
|
Hm, he has quite a history of teams and personal sponsors. I wonder what`s the reason for this lack of continuity as he is a pretty consistent player and as a sponsor you know what you get.

This makes it even more interesting. Does ENCE have anyone else on their roster? I wonder if they're dropping SC2 entirely or refocusing?

Elfi would be the perfect roleplayer for TL in clanwars.

So basically, a god is left in the wild and nobody has jumped on him yet ? Gosh, teams are under-informed.

Sad they drop their Starcraft II team whatever reason they might have. Good luck for the players finding a new team.
