I really like canata and SKT's idea of "sportitainment" also it helps me understand how they recruit their players a bit more.

Thanks for the translations. I'll often wonder what these debates are about in between games on the Korean feed.

I wasn't aware it was such a big focus for SKT, but it certainly makes the Parting acquisition a no brainer - talented player that entertains his fans.

It explains why canata was on the team at least, his games were hilarious(ly bad).

To be fair, he was one of the most talented amateurs to come out of Korea and was highly sought after before he became a professional and joined SKT. I guess it also helped that he had the looks (although they grew worse over time).

lolol this amuses me since the foreign scene complains about faceless koreans every few months

i do think kespa teams are better at getting emotion out of players than esf currently though

Yes, thank you for the translations!
Personally, I find myself leaning towards the perspective of the man on the right ( is that Ghost? Someone else? nO. 1), but their views aren't so different from each other's. It is an enjoyable debate!

I agree that talking it up helps the scene. I mean, unless you are psyching yourself out of your top shape of play. I know for a fact that when two players are trash talking each other it just hypes the match up even more and makes me want to watch it even more and makes it even more tense. But, the thing that would ruin it is if after all the hype the players don't bring solid games.

Edit: also, since all of these videos end with "what do you think" and there are basically two options, why no polls in these threads?

I always thought Canata was a bland player outside of a few wacky builds he had. I am remembering that incorrectly? Can't think of any of his ceremonies/outside game activity.

I thought the guy talking to Canata had great points, but as Canata points out SKT players going for entertainment values and then you look at the results of their seasons, it must have a huge factor in their success by being entertaining. However the perfect counter argument is Flash and KT who are not entertaining and also successful in the past.

South Koreans seem always so animated... I feel like they're not even real people as I'm watching them sometimes in these because every motion is so exaggerated to the extreme : P

Enjoyable nonetheless however haha

Well, they use a lot of tools to do so. All the little things count. I wish they would go back to using theme music for the players. They did a few things I liked from a production standpoint in the last few PLs (including Franken league! *gulp*)

I thought his play was pretty cool for awhile. It seemed like he fell off at some point after having a couple decent runs. :[
