Each Warrior wants to leave the mark of his will, his signature, on important acts he touches. This is not the voice of ego but of the human spirit, rising up and declaring that it has something to contribute to the solution of the hardest problems, no matter how vexing!
~ Pat Riley

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Euro 2013 Winter games have arrived. The stage is set, all that remains are the players and fans. This winter, we will be providing you with non-stop Starcraft: Brood War action as we tour the globe seeking out each Nation's finest Starcraft players. This tournament is the first of it's kind since World Cyber Games itself. Also, boasting the second highest recorded prize in foreign Brood War history, it is sure to be a spectacle of special magnificence.

November 10th, 2012

The great battle begins as gladiators from Europe and the Americas take their swing at being crowned the top of their respective regions. Over the next six months, these players will practice and compete to be the very best they possibly can be and win their local title. Winning a local title guarantees your spot at the grand finals and a solid chance at winning the grand prize of $18000.

The Grand Finals will hold both a Nation War and an Individual event, in total, on April 14th, a total of $35000 will be distributed. The location is Prague, Czech Republic, and the full event's duration will be of 3 days. Fox.EleGanT will be the official caster for the event with potentially a special and very secret co-caster.

A theater will be allocated to accommodate any and all Brood War fans to watch as this spectacle unfolds. Admission to the theater where the games will be broadcast by Fox.EleGanT will be upon reservation. You may also enter at the door, however, you will not be guaranteed a seat if so. Entry is free, donations are recommended but not required. Live participating players will play in front of the main screen.

National teams are required to sign up before November 3rd 2012 in order to be considered eligible.
National teams will be comprised of four players and one spare.

Other qualifying players may partake at the main event, however, they will be required to pay for their travel, food, accommodation and seat.

For extreme circumstances, if you were able to guarantee your arrival at the final venue if you were to qualify, you would potentially be able to play in the "rest of europe" qualifiers which will be made for countries that don't have enough players to support their own events. These would all be online.

so If i play in the "rest of europe" qualifiers and make it through, do i have to pay my own way for flights/accomodations etc still? What im saying is what options do north american players have..besides the biased volunteer fund thing.

If you make it through, you'd only have to pay transport (minus the cost of transport within europe).

You could always find a sponsor (depending on how much practice time you're investing)!
