1) Semih is banned from Teamliquid due to his LAN history.
2) EywaSC organization is originally based in USA/Canada according to the thread which was posted a little while back.
3) I think there is a far higher chance of USA/Canada supporters in terms of finance than there are of South Americans (not to offend, simply from observation).

I'll be brutally honest, I'd rather see 16 Afreeca BJ's play than foreigners.
Provides such a higher level of competition.
