Hey, I was watching MLG today when Stephano did this all in against Ganzi, (surprisingly 2x in a row)
Unfortunately, I didnt get the exact build order, only some basic concepts down. So I'm creating this thread to try to milk as much information from the community as possible!
It seems like Stephano decides to use this build against some sort of fast expand. Does this only work vs fast 3 cc, or will it still work vs a helliion expand?
Basic Build:
Hatch first
2 gas
Roach warren, baneling nest
Stop at 38 drones
Make like 4 overlords (LOL)
9 roaches
rally lings
make banelings
bust
As you can see, I really only have a very basic idea of how he does it. Just wondering, when does he get his 1st and 2nd gas? And anyone know the timing of his baneling nest? After or before roaches.
Any discussion is greatly appreciated !

This build was popularized by DRG, and should be used when you scout no gas from your oppenent.
13 drone scout
15 hatch
16 pool
18 extractor (take off gas after 1st 100, use metalabolic)
17 Ovi
26 ovi
30 ovi
drone, then 2 more gas roach warren
3 more ovis
12 roaches
gas should be the limiting factor
next 50 gas bane nest
rally lings, don't get supply blocked
morph banes
attack!

The push is only off of 2 gas and he takes a third behind it. So it is not all in.

If you find Stepano's stream, he's posted downloadable replay packs and this is one of his mainstays in ZvT. It will be guaranteed to have a few of these in there. Only difference is the way he uses queens now due to the buff vs. using spines.

Your build order is spot on, I just want to clarify something: "You can use this effectively when you scout no gas from your opponent."

Sen was doing this build a year ago. It works sometimes but the main problem is scouting, and knowing when to do it. It works very well against high numbers of hellions, works ok against banshee [though I've been told banshee hellion can hold it by day9, so...], works pretty good against marines. Not so good against tank and marauder.
