1.0 Mbps upload streaming in HD

That's right. Iv'e figured out a way I have been able to stream Sc2 in HD and I have only 1.0Mbps upload.

Here is how I did it.

1. Use these settings.

2. Set FPS to 25.00 & Resolution to what your actual screen resolution is. You may have people suggest that for 1Mbps upload use 480p. It's not the case, if you're computer can handle it then go for your actual resolution, hey it worked for me right?

Finally here is my speed test result and a video of my stream in action with these settings. I really hope this works for you guys as it's really improved my stream quality, I just thought I would share it with you

EDIT: I know the video can get a little blurry at times when the screen moves and/or there is an engagement. But that's the best quality i can get it seems, but still for 1.0Mbps upload, i think my quality is very good

Nice quality VOD. Just imagine how it would look with 3mb/s upload though! Still very good result for what you can do anyway.

Yeah sure. My computer isn't anything ultra high spec, it's medium range if i'm honest but it runs it all perfectly fine for me.

Case: Zalman Z9 plus case

Nothing really suprising, resolution/fps is entirely CPU based, bitrate and internet are pretty much irrelevant.

I prefer 540p60 though on lower bitrates (1:2 downscale from 1920x1080) and you can easily achive that with any midrange quad core overclocked at the right presets

WEll, I've been using kind of this setup for nearly a year now to stream in 720p at 1mb/s upload :D
I have nearly the same processor, but I lowered the bitrate even more to not get delay ingame

Welcome to TeamLiquid. Not to take anything away from your thread, but there's nothing new about it. There's already a nice thread on how to stream at low bitrates here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=272764. The writer (Nepsilon) does it at ~700 kbps.

It's definitely possible, but your stream could look even better if you used a slower preset (which you can't due to a slow cpu though).

There's no standard for bitrates at any resolution. You can stream 1080p at 500 kbps, but overall the quality will take the hit. However these ranges are usually accepted within the streaming community and among the 'wizards':

480p (720x480): 750-1000kbps
720p (1280x720): 1500-3000kbps
1080p (1920x1080): 3000-5000kbps+
