Q: Reaction to qualifying up Zero: It’s been so long since I’ve made the Starleague round of 16, I’m really happy.
Q: How did you prepare Zero: Although I usually analyze opponents by watching VODs, Hiya didn’t have any recent games, so I tried to watch his personal stream, but he wasn’t broadcasting yesterday (laughs). Q: Did you expect to qualify today Zero: I thought it’d be a relief if I could just qualify. I didn’t expect to win 2-0, so I’d prepared all the way to the final match.

Q: What were you thinking when you discovered the reaver shuttle in the second match Zero: At first, my opponent’s natural didn’t have gas. Because my opponent found my hydra den early on, I’d expected speed zealots. When there wasn’t a corsair, I started preparing an all-in rush, and I panicked when I saw the reaver. But, I figured a protoss would also send a shuttle at least once and gathered units for that. I think that calculation was important. It’s not easy to make such a decision in an important match (laughs).
Q: Tell me about recent events Zero: I’ve only been practicing very hard. I’m continuing to practice Starcraft 1, and since it’s not a very busy time right now, with proleague over, I’ve been focusing on practicing Starcraft 2. However, in order to make it to the Starleague, in recent days I’ve been going all out on Starcraft 1.
Q: If you could predict how the other Woongjin players will do in the ODT Zero: Neo.G_Soulkey will do well on his own (laughs). If he can show the same skill as in this past proleague, he’ll qualify guaranteed. If he can’t, he won’t. I think lately the players lost a lot of [Starcraft 1] ability due to Starcraft 2 practice. They just need to do their own thing. Whoever practices the most will advance.
Q: Anything you want to say Zero: I’ll prepare hard for the round of 16 and get really far. I have a jinx where I always fall in the round of 8, but now that I have a chance to break it, I’ll give it my all. Finally, I want to thank all my teammates who helped me practice.

Horang2 didn’t take his opponents lightly. In the final match, CJ’s Horang2 took out the unaffiliated Hiya and made his very first Starleague appearance. “I watched the Starleague and dreamed about being a progamer, and now I’m there,” said Horang2. “I’ll justify my qualification with the appropriate level of play.”
Q: Thoughts on qualifying up Horang2: When I was about to head out [to the studio?] the sunny weather turned rainy, and I was upset. But I’m happy because I qualified (laughs).
Q: It’s your first qualification, so I think you might feel different from the others Horang2: Wow (laughs). It really does feel good, but I don’t know how to explain it
Q: You struggled in your first match Horang2: I blocked my opponent’s first attack handily. But Modesty’s mutalisks stabbed here and there really well, and it was hard. If he hadn’t rushed his play and instead played it slow, I wonder if I wouldn’t have lost.
Q: You lost helplessly in the winner’s match Horang2: I didn’t know Zero would make more hydras (laughs). I think Zero exploited his timing well.
Q: It looked like you were really nervous in the final match Horang2: I was definitely worried because it was the final match. My opponent was Hiya, who’s gotten a lot of attention this Starleague, and I didn’t want to face him and become the villain (laughs).
Q: You’re the first qualifier from CJ Horang2: My teammate Rush was the first [from CJ] to get to the ODT, but since he’s not making it out anyway I want to say that he should just do his own thing. I want to help him, but the group he got sorted into is all zergs, so I feel bad I can’t help. I’ve always had high expectations for Rush. I want us to get really far together.
Q: What kind of group do you want next Horang2: I don’t spare any worry on groups. I’m going to my best no matter who I face. In the end, whoever’s best will move on.

This group was tough. On one hand, I wanted Horang2 and Zero to do well. On the other hand, watching Hiya lose was heart breaking.

Ahhh... it's sad, but I'm glad that Hiya at least showed some good games before being eliminated. I knew it was unrealistic but I really thought he was going to make it until the very end :<
At least Zero looked quite good, his comment about sc2 is kind of unnerving though, even if the transition is going to happen I would hope they'd put off sc2 until they're eliminated from the OSL at least... I mean, a few weeks of extra practice probably isn't going to change much in the long run, whereas winning (potentially) the last OSL would be huge.
My hopes of seeing an epic final OSL get further diminished as it's now apparent pros have to juggle practicing for two games now instead of one...
To be honest, if it's going to be like this and the OSL starts to show some more mediocre games due to practice time conflicts, it would have been better to have a final OSL end with Jangbi vs Flash as that seemed to be a much more epic sendoff than this might be. Although this may not happen. Don't want potentially last OSL to be....well...mediocre, you know?

You guys should just make a new thread, or resurrect the old one, or even make an IRC channel so that this doesn't happen, I mean it's such a waste. It happens to Kiett all the time too, so you guys should definitely do something to help coordinate which articles you're all going to translate.
Sucks that this is the last time we'll see Hiya on a stage :/ but I can't complain with Horang2 and Zero getting through Thanks for the interview.
