First off I want to clarify that I'm not talking about everyone's favorite murderous werewolf thug from Harry Potter, but rather the new surprise leader of the NA ladder.

An impression was first made on me sometime last ladder season when I watched Fenrir beat SeleCT on stream after a ~45min back and forth game. This happened again last week and that's when I decided to do some further investigating.
Here is how things stand at the moment:

This player is truly of high caliber, having won macro games against the very best players on the NA ladder including: Idra, select, ganzi, ret, ostojiy, scarlett and many others.
Initially I suspected this account was Ostojiy's smurf since it has a similar win rate to his from 2 seasons prior. But it's not..

I'm sure a lot of people will think this is a Korean smurf but I think it's unlikely when you take into consideration that this account has been around since season 1 and has progressed from diamond, through master and then to GM.

This is further reinforced by last season's record which has been improved upon, but not to the point where it looks like another person has taken over the account. It's been gradual progression all the way. (from around 71% to about 88% Win rate)

Fenrir is a hero Diamond back in the UMS Special Forces Elite. He's permanently cloaked and has Shoot on the move abilites like other diamond backs, And also does extra damage to Armored units.

Just curious, why would you show him winning vs a barcode player and assume its scarlett? Theres like so many barcode players now on NA ..

Probably some Korean smurf still, well even if it was diamond since season 1 could just been borrowing the account or just not playing enough to get higher ranks.
Edit: MVP.Tails is playing him now on his stream, he's not Korean since Tails typed in Korean and he didn't understand a fuzz, Fenrir said to him to speak English. Hmm, probably some EU smurf then...

On a more serious note, it could be a person who actually was diamond, then master, then GM, which would be pretty cool. But it was probably someone who was masters and then paid someone to boost their account to gm.

Someone that used the name Fenrir used to stream snipe a lot of people 6+ months ago. I remember it happening to Destiny, Psy and I think Spanishiwa. He was pretty good and played Protoss if I remember correctly.
