They are just as legitimate as a fast expand, just for a different situation. It is a gamble but its not a cheese. You can't even compare it to a 6pool or proxy rax. Just forces a quick game and punishes someone for being too greedy. To answer the question I would have to say 4gate. It is devastating in the right hands and forces your opponent to stop focusing on economy and more on survivng the next few minutes from hell. They want to keep that double expand? They are going to earn it. I rarely play Protoss though so take that with a grain of salt. | ||

@ topic it really depends on what the terran does. 4 gate is very strong against 1 rax expo but pretty bad when the opponent doesnt expand. 3 gate void ray is very strong against tech lab openings. soo... i dont know if there is a best all in. | ||

Why are people here complaining about him asking for an all in. All ins are part of the game and if you don't know any that, if anything, is hurting your game. I think it's stupid to see a weakness in your opponent like an early expo (see HuK 16 nexusing every game) and NOT all in. If I see someone 15 CC im going to all in, I don't care if it doesn't "help my game." If I want to help my macro game ill macro when it is necessary. | ||

In response to an early expand I like 4 Gate Warp Prism, Blink Stalker rush and 3gate VR, it seems like you could abuse him being spread out to two bases. Don't know how possible it is to do those things as a response, though, I don't play Protoss at all. Aren't 2base all-ins generally better against Terran? 2-base Immortal, 6 Gate and so on... | ||
