▶박태민=결승 MVP를 받게되서 기쁘지만 팀의 우승이 더 기쁘다. 2승을 거둔 것이 내 혼자 힘 뿐이 아니라 김성제를 비롯해 모든 팀원들이 도와준 덕분이라고 생각한다.
▶GoRush=I am happy to get MVP but I am more happy with the teams victory. Winning two matches were not done by myself but with the help of IntoTheRainbow and all of the team.
-(박태민에게)경기 시작 전에 컨디션이 안 좋아 보였는데.
-(To GoRush)You did not seem well before the match.
▶박=컨디션이 안 좋았기 보다는 약간의 긴장감이 필요했다. 그래서 얼굴이 굳어져 있었던 것 뿐이다.
▶GoRush=It was not that I wasn’t well, but I needed a bit of tension. That’s why my face was seemed rigid.
-(전상욱에게)연습을 얼마나 했나.
-(To Midas)How much did you practice?
▶전상욱=많이 했다. (얼마나 했냐는 질문에) 한 50판 정도 했다. 사실 첫 세트에서는 성공 가능성이 반반이었을 정도로 도박적이었던 전략이었다.
▶Midas=A lot. About 50 games. To be honest the strategy was such a gamble that its succeeding possibility was only 50:50.
-(최연성에게)전기리그 출전을 못 했는데. 지켜보면서 어땠나.
-(To oov)You were not able to play on the stage. How did you feel?
▶최연성=나가고 싶은 마음이 굴뚝 같았다. 그런데 (출전할 수 없는 것은)어쩔 수 없는 일이니까 나가는 선수가 이겨주길 바랬다. 오늘 결승전을 보면서도 나가고 싶은 마음이 굴뚝 같았다.
▶oov=I so much wanted to play. But since it can’t be done, I wished that my teammates would win. Even today watching the finals I so much wanted to play up there.
-(임요환에게)오늘 초반부터 크게 리드를 하면서 출전하지 못 했는데.
-(To Boxer)With the lead early on, you were not able to play today.
▶임요환=3대0으로 이기고 있을 때도 이겼다는 생각은 추호도 안 했다. 6경기와 7경기까지 갈 수도 있다는 생각에 긴장감을 놓치지 않았다.
▶Boxer=Even when we were ahead with 3:0, I did not for a second think that we have won for sure. I did not loosen up thinking that the game could have come to sixth and seventh match.
-(박태민에게)2경기나 출전하는 것에 부담스럽지는 않았는지.
-(To GoRush)Did playing two games feel overwhelming?
▶박=결승전이었기 때문에 최대한 많이 나가고 싶었다. 전기리그 동안 팀에 많은 보탬이 못 된 것 같아서 많이 나가고 싶었다. (출전한)맵이 내가 원하는 맵은 아니었지만 열심히 준비했다.
▶GoRush=Since it was the finals I wanted to play as much as possible. Having felt that I did not do much in the league, I wanted to play as much as possible. The map(that I have played) was not exactly the one that I liked but I have prepared with all of my effort.
-(고인규에게)아쉽게 패배했는데.
-(To Catana)You lost a very close match.
▶고인규=아쉬운게 아니라 완패했다. 후기리그 부터는 기회를 준다면 열심히 하겠다.
▶Catana=It was not close at all. It was a complete defeat. If there is another chance I will prepare myself even more.
-(박용욱에게)팀의 우승을 견인했는데.
-(To Kingdom)You led the team to victory.
▶박용욱=사실 난 부산전패다. 부산에서 3번을 했는데 3번이나 졌다. 친구인 박정석과는 정 반대다. 이번 부산에서의 승리가 처음이라는 것으로도 기쁘지만 우승에 보탬이 된 첫 부산 승리였기 때문에 기분이 굉장히 좋다. 사실 우리 목표는 전기리그 우승이 아니라 그랜드 파이널 우승이다. 이 트로피(전기리그 우승 트로피)는 그랜드파이널에 진출하기 위한 트로피라고 생각한다.
▶Kingdom=To be honest I 've lost all the matches in Pusan. I had three of them and lost all of them. It's the very different from Reach, who is also my friend. Not only that I am happy that this is my first winning match in Pusan, but also that this is a win that adds to my teams victory. In truth our goal is not winning only the Round 1 but also the Grand Finals. This trophy(the round 1 finals trophy) is only a stepping stone to the Grand Finals trophy.
-(김성제에게)본선에서 팀플레이를 많이 안 나왔는데.
-You were not listed in teamplay very often during the league.
▶김성제=감독님이 엔트리를 짤 때 부터 팀플레이 한경기를 맡기로 돼 있었다. 시켜서 나왔다(웃음).
▶IntoTheRainbow=When the head coach was preparing the entry list, I was supposed to prepare one teamplay match. I just did as the head coach ordered.
-엔트리가 굉장히 잘 짜여졌는데.
-The entry was delicate to perfection.
▶임요환=코칭스태프 분들이 정말 많은 노력을 했다. 특히 감독님과 코치님이 가장 많은 고생을 하고 전략을 짜고 연구를 했다. 그 덕분에 우리가 훈련을 제대로 했고, 우승할 수 있었다. 또 내일 코치님의 결혼식이 있는데 그 선물이 된 것 같아서 기쁘다.
▶Boxer=The coaching staff worked very hard. Specially the head coach and the coach went through so much to conjure up a new strategy and studying it. For that we were able to practice and finally win. Also one of our coach is having a wedding, and thinkingthat this will be a pleasant wedding gift, I am happy.
▶박용욱=코치님이 큰 고생을 했다. 가장 먼저 일어나고 가장 늦게 주무시면서 까지 상대팀에 대한 분석에 매달렸다. 우리가 우승할 수 있었던 큰 주역이다. 내일 결혼식 축하드린다.
▶Kingdom=Coach did the most hard work. He woke up earliest and slept latest analyzing the opponent. He is the cornerstone of our victory. Congratulations on your wedding.
-마지막으로 한마디.

▶임요환=팀워크가 뭔지 알려주신 회사 프런트께 감사를 드린다. 팀장님이신데 그분이 새로 오시면서 <하이파이브>라는 책을 주셨다. 그 책을 보고 팀워크에 대한 깨닳음을 얻었다. 팀장님께 감사드리고 우리의 최종 목표는 그랜드파이널 우승이기 때문에 그랜드파이널까지 관심을 부탁드린다.
▶Boxer=I thank the company for enlightening us what a teamwork is. Being newly appointed as our manager, he gave all of us a book <High Five>. We were enlightened with what the teamwork meant. We thank him, and since our final destination is the Grand Finals, we wish he can support us till the end.
▶박용욱=지난 해 이 자리에서 3-1로 이기고 있다가 역전당했다. 머무르면 도태되는 것 아닌가. 여기에서 머무르지 않고 계속 노력해서 그랜드파이널까지 우승해 프로게이머 끝날 때 까지 SK텔레콤 T1으로 남겠다.
▶Kingdom=Last year, on this very place we were struck back while on lead with 3:1. If I am stationary, it is just as bad as falling back. I will not stay here but keep myself up until the Grand Finals, and stay in SKT T1 until the end of my career.
▶박태민=우승하고 MVP를 받아서 기분 좋다. 나 하나만이 이뤄낸 것이 아니라 팀원 전체가 이뤄낸 것이다. 과정에서 느낀 점도 많다. 그랜드파이널까지 우승해서 자신이 최고의 선수라는 것을 느끼고 우리팀이 최고의 팀이라는 것을 입증시키겠다.
▶GoRush=I am happy to win and to be awarded with MVP. I alone did not achieve this but the whole team. I experienced much during this whole time. I will grab the Grand Finals and will be assured of myself that I am, that we are the best.
▶최연성=후기리그에서도 SK텔레콤이 우승하는 모습을 보여주겠다. T1팀이 독주하는 모습을 팬들에게 선보여 줄 수 있도록 하겠다.
▶oov=We will once again win the second round. We will show the team T1 monopolizing all the leagues.
▶전상욱=차기 스타리그에 꼭 올라가도록 하겠다.
▶Midas=I will try harder to be in STARLEAGUE.
▶김성제=모두가 열심히 해서 지금의 이 모습을 변함없이 계속 보여줄 수 있는 그런 팀이 될 수 있었으면 한다. 그럴 수 있도록 노력하겠다.
▶IntoTheRainbow=I wish that our team will not stop trying their best, and show our best unchanged. I will try hard to be like that.

-Words for the victory?
▶우승 소감 말하면, 말로 표현할 수가 없다. 너무너무 기쁘고, 선수와 팬들에게 너무 고맙다.
▶It can’t be described in words. I am very very happy and grateful to players and fans.
-우승에 가장 큰 원동력?
-What was the key to victory?
▶선수중에 누군가 잘했다고 꼽을 수는 없다. 스토브 리그 겪으면서 팀워크 강화에 힘썼다. 모든 선수들이 개인전을 포기했고, 전력 강화에 힘써줬다. 선수들의 자발적인 움직임이 가장 컸다. 프론트에서 보낸 의미있는 책 한권 선물이 있었는 데 그 내용이 선수단 모두의 가슴을울렸다. 정말 가슴에 와닿는 내용이었다.
▶I can not point out just one individual. During the stove league we concentrated on fortifying the teamwork. Every player sacrificed their individual tournament practices, and did their best on strengthening on teamwork. The players’ willful mind to move upward was most important. The company had sent us a book that deeply moved us all. It really touched our heart.
-경기 시작 전에 엔트리에 흐뭇하다고 했는데?
-Before the match you have stated that you were happy with the match up entry.
▶저희 예측 가운데 1,3경기가 정확히 잘 맞았다. 마지막에 운이 따랐다. 5경기 강 민과 박용욱 매치업이 맞아 떨어졌다. 특히 부산불패 박정석이 나온다고 생각했었다. 경기 시작전에 알고 있었지만 조용호 선수를 써서 내보냈다. 박정석 선수를 방심하게 만들려는 의도였다. 왜냐하면 필살기 전략이 많았기 때문이다. 이틀 전에 온게임넷 방송 프로그램에 엔트리와 전략을 예상했다. 그에 걸맞는 선수를 내보낸다고 말한 적이 있다.
▶Our prediction matched exactly on first and thirst match. Luck has sided with us at the end. Nal rA was matched up with Kingdom. I knew that Reach, the undeafeated in Pusan, was up for the first match, but have written Chojja for the prediction list. It was to make Reach feel assured because we have prepared many sudden-death-one-time strategies. I have predicted all the entries two days ago in one of the Ongamenet’s TV programs. I have said that I will match the opponent with their rivals.
-임요환 개인전에 없었다.
-Boxer was not listed for 1 vs 1.
▶임요환은 7경기에 배치돼있었다. 10만 관중 속에서 경기를 치를 수 있는 선수는 임요환 밖에 없다. 가장 전적이 많고, 이런 분위기에서 팀을 잘 이끌어왔던 임요환 선수가 바로 제격이었다.
▶He was placed for the seventh match. He is the only person who can play the game among hundred thousand people around. Having had the most experience, he is the most fitting player for this kind of occasion who has led the team this far.
-승리를 확신한 순간은?
-When were you confident of you victory?
▶1,2 경기가 무척 중요했다. 우리팀은 개인전이 강하고, KTF가 팀플이 강했다. 모든 팀이 팀플 우세를 KTF로 예상했다. 1경기는 첫경기여서 중요하고, 2경기는 우리 팀이 져도 본전인 상황이었다. 하지만 팀플레이를 한 경기를 잡아내면 우리쪽으로 분위기를 몰 수 있다고 확신했다. 3경기 이기고 많이 기울었다고 느꼈지만, 방심하지믄 않았다.
▶The first and second match was very important. We are strong in 1 vs 1, and KTF at 2 vs 2. Every other team predicted KTF having the advantage in 2 vs 2. The first round was important because it was the first round, and the second was just a bonus. I knew that earning one teamplay match up would greatly be favorable to us. After winning the third match I thought that we won, but did not feel loosen up.
-KTF에게도 한마디 해달라.
-One comment for KTF.
▶승부의 세계니까 우리팀도 열심히 노력했고, 그쪽도 노력을 많이했다. 우리가 경험이 앞서서 그런 것 아닐까. 후기 리그에서도 KTF를 다시 만나고 싶다.
▶It’s the world of professionals. We did our best as did they. We were ahead with our experience. We want to face them again in latter Proleagues.
-포상 규모는?
-Amount of rewards?
▶상금의 100% 인센티브가 예정돼있다. 옵션으로 계약돼있는 선수들의 상황은 잘 모르겠고, 회사측에서 포상금을 많이 걸었기 때문에 기대하고 있다.
▶100% of the leagues reward will be awarded. I am not sure for the players bounded with specific contracts, but we are expecting a handsome reward because the company had promised us so.
-위기의 순간은?
-The critical point during the match.
▶1경기가 가장 마음에 걸렸다. 상대 선수가 박정석 선수이고, 우리 전략이 1회성 필살기여서 걱정했다. 프로브 첫 정찰때 정말 신경이 곤두서더라. 9시를 비껴갈 때 안도의 한숨을 쉬었다.
▶The very first match was most nerve breaking. The opponent was Reach. I was worried because our layout was one-time sure-kill one. I was at ease when the first scout did not come to Midas’s base.
-오늘은 어떤 일정이 남아있나.
-What are your plans for today.
▶6명의 선수는 내일 이벤트가 있고, 끝난 뒤에는 회식이 기다리고 있다.
▶6 gamers have an event to attend. We are up for a party.
-감사의 말씀을 전하고 싶은 사람이 있다면?
-To whom do you wish to say your gratitudes?
▶팀이 하나가 되기까지 힘써준 선수들에게 무척 감사하다. 무엇보다도 연습에 충실히 보탬이 되준 최연성에게 고맙다. 회사 관계자는 말할 나위가 없다. 좋은 서포트와 관심으로 아껴줬다. 또 무엇보다도 우리를 아껴준 팬들에게 보답할 수 있어서 좋다.
▶I am thankful for all the players who have tried hard to make the team united. Above all I am grateful for oov who was a huge addition while practicing. It is needless to say thanks to the company. They supported us with good care and interest. I am so happy that we all can repay the love that the fans have shown us.
-후기 리그는 최연성도 들어온다.
-oov is able to play in the second round.
▶전기 우승은 최연성이 출전하지 못했을 뿐, 우리는 하나였다. 모두 노력을 많이 해줬기 때문이다. 후기 리그에서도 하나가 되는 멋진 팀이 되도록 노력하겠다.
▶Although oov was not able to play on the stage, we were all one team. Everyone spilled out all they had. We will show that we are the strongest in round 2.
-2세트 리버 전략이 주효했는데.
-Second match up’s reaver strategy was very fitting.
▶우산국에서 요즘 테란이 바이오닉보다 메카닉을 많이 쓴다. 2가지 모두 방어할 수 있다고 생각했다. 2배럭 체제였다면 더욱 좋았다. 타이밍 상 잘 막을 수 있도록 연습했다.
▶In Woosankook Terran goes with bionic rather than mechanical. With it I expected to defend the two types altogether. If it were two barracks it would have been better. We practiced much focusing on defense at critical times.
- 승리의 이유를 분석한다면?
- If you were to analyze your victory,
▶팀워크가 중심이기 때문이다. 전기 리그 못나온 최연성 선수의 몫을 다른 선수들이 N분의 1로 쪼개서 다 짊어졌다. 그것이 바로 우승의 원동력이다.
▶Teamwork is the key. Other players carried the divided burden of oov not being able to play in the first round.

Match by Match Brief Summary
1. Midas knocks out Reach under 5 min with 2 barrack marine + dozen SCV.
- Reach had no luck with scouting, but he was too laidback not sending a scouting probe after the very first pylon. When Midas stormed down to Reach's base with 6~8 marines + 12 SCV, Reach only has 1 zealot and 1 fob dragoon. Although Reach pulls out all the probes to defend, Midas with the bunker holds still and destroys gateway's pylon. Reach GG.
2. Rainbow owns the battlefield with 30+ kill Reaver in 2 vs 2.
- KTF starts the match with the typical building sequence by T+Z. However rainbow techs up early and prepares reaver. KTF not prepared with this surprising stretegy storms to gorush to finish him, but fails. Soon after rainbow comes into action with his shooting reaver(Shuttle + reaver) first defending gorush, and second hitting Chojja. SKT T1 with the advantage, succeeds in defending Gorush's base once again and storms The Marine's base for the GG. KTF GG.
3. GoRush shows off his Magic.
- GoRush renowned for his macromanagement, is called the "The Magician of Macromanagement". The match starts off with typical T VS Z build. However the fate splits into two when Sync's first platoon fails to eradicate GoRush's front yard expansion, while GoRush's herd of zergling infiltrates Sync's main base. GoRush with the advantage, chooses not to expand any further but to muster all the resources to overpower Sync's last and final marine + tank + S Vessel attack. GoRush corners Sync's advance and wipes them out, while Sync is running out of dough. GoRush like his nickname "the magician" stupefies Sync with his flawless macromanagement; expanding just as neccessary, retreating when in doubt, endless S Vessel hunting with scourges, and teching up for lurkling to defiler to ultralisk. Sync, devastated with only the front yard expansion while GoRush has two other, tries his best to withstand GoRush's final attack but comes short. He is but to throw the towel, dumbfounded with his complete defeat. Sync GG.
4. Yellow and Reach stands undefeated.
- Undefeated in Luna, perhaps the most strong 2 vs 2 team, Yellow and Reach stands firm. As they have shown several times in round one, Reach paves the front yard of Yellow with cannons to aid his expansion while pressuring Rumble with one zealot and zergling. Yellow being the very first to expand, Rumble follows to expand a bit too late. Having massed up enough gas to overwhelm Rumble, yellow owns the battlefield with the swarm of mutalisks during the whole match. With the Reach's addition of zealot + Dark-High Templar, Yellow scares off Rumble and Reach destroy's Canata's platoon. Although Rumble strikes Yellow hard in his main base demolishing spire, tide can not be overturned and both Rumble's and Canata's forces vanish in vain. At last, both of them are not able to defend the masses of dragoon backed up by 3 other expansions of Reach. Yellow and Reach stays undefeated in Luna as if they are just teaching Rumble and Canata a thing or two about teamplay. Rumble and Canata are no doubt a worthy foe, but Yellow and Reach are the warlocks in the land of Luna. SKT T1 GG.
5. Kingdom enthrones.
- Intense micro battles of 1~3 zealot + dragoon takes place early in the match. As the delicate fights go on it seems that Nal_rA's forces are weakening. Yes, it was the zealot of the "Devil Protoss". The zealot has terrorized several of Nal_rA's probe early in the game and that tiny gap made the whole difference. Always a step behind Kingdome during the whole match, Nal_rA who won 6 delevering ace matches in round 1 does not come through at this final hour. Kingdom enthrones. Nal_rA GG.

The most coveted title in the World's Starcraft scene, the winner of PROLEAGUE finals goes to SKT T1. KTF with their league winning streak seemed, seemed unprepared for the unexpected(rainbow's reaver, midas's bunker), while SKT T1 went to extreme to prepare for all the possibilities to overcome the history that they are weak against KTF. However undoubtly the both teams went through anything close to hell to prepare for this grand fight. Good job, you all.
