Hey guys,
Today I'll be casting Stage 1 of the IEM EU Qualifiers. This topic will change a lot later on and their will be an official Topic for the entire Qualifier, but since the man who's supposed to do that ain't here this is more like an emergency Topic
Here you can find the Brackets for day 1 : http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/masters/stage_1/rankings/
Couple of the players who we will see in action today ( we got 64 players and the top 16 will advance to the next round are ; BeastyQT , Welmu, Fishlips, Slivko, Cytoplasm and many many more. Hopefully Stephano will make it home from berlin in Time .
The entire Qualification process can be viewed over here : http://www.esl-world.net/masters/#/masters/season6/kiev/news/175922/
So today 16 players advance to Stage 2, next week we will host Stage 2 and obv afterwards Stage 3, in the end only 7 of all these awesome players will make it to the IEM Global Challenge in Kiev which will be hosted from 19 to the 22nd of January . In total we will have 16 players there and 21000 $ usd worth of Prizemoney. Ofcourse the National champion of Ukraine will be there as well who is no other then the Destroyer of Worlds ; Empire.KaS.
Once again I apologize for this messy & Unorganized topic, we will sort things out later, hope this works for now and I'll hope for some awesome games today.

Hm... weird, type.phoenix and type.real seem to be at take's place, and they don't seem to be in the qualifier bracket. however he (take) claims that he will do the esl qualifier instead of the usual go4sc2 cup.

They're at Takes place every sunday no matter if they participate in the tourney that take casts. As far as i know they're both temporary banned from ESL due to too many penality points.

Next time you should have a rule that mandates the lazy ass national divisions of ESL to announce qualifiers at least 10 days prior to them taking place.
A 2 or 3 day warning is not enough. Especially if the national division sites are basically dead for the rest of the year.

Sounds like he didn't get home on time or something?
|
Possible, since it was a default win for his opponent.

And when you click on game result on esl, it says defwin so I guess Stephano went back home too late
|
Stephano won't be playing the tournament.
|
Hm Goody got a defloss too
|
That means they don't have a chance to qualify for IEM Kiev anymore.
|
So whoever is in bracket stage 1 are the only people who have a chance of going to Kiev? Europe's gonna be seriously lacking pretty much all of its best players in Kiev if thats the case...
|
this whole tournament has been rather messy. there has been quite a lack of general info when it comes to times and dates. I did not know when I had to play my game, so I got walked over first round of this. so sad QQ
