The Last Resort, a UK based gaming organisation which fields teams in Counter-Strike: Source and FIFA have announced the opening of their Starcraft 2 squad and promised to be adding more players in the near future.
Unfortunately, many of you will not be aware of Lasse "Deranging" Schmieding, a sixteen year old resident of the United Kingdom who recently competed in the EGL at the Emirates Stadium in London. However, TLR have a history of supporting members of the UK community and helping them to grow into strong competitors.
Furthermore, this is the organisations first foray into the RTS scene so it should be an interesting period for them. It will be interesting to see if they can find and nurture some strong competitors in the UK. In the meantime, you can keep up to date with them via the links below.

Pretty cool to see another UK organisation taking the plunge into SC2. Now I need to stop being trash and hopefully they can pick me up one of these days

Is this the same team as the late WoW guild Last Resort?
Cool to see either way, the UK is so underrepresented and underdeveloped.

They have no relation to the WoW guild but as you say, its always good to see more UK teams. For such a developed country we have a poor esports representation

So anyone with insight in the UK scene that can tell me which players might be up for recruitment, or even which ones are good except BlinG and LastShadow (I believe he's from the UK xD)?

Fargo who plays for x6 is a resident of the UK! I'll keep you informed of any rising stars I find, I hope there are some out there :D

never heard of the team-never heard of the player BUT since he is pretty young still that probably doesnt tell much and i really hope that they will do good

None of the best UK players are F/A
Lau, Gomas, BlinG, Pureball, rANDY, Tangho, Dream, Fargo
There's some good up and coming players like Derranging around though

Sorry to double post but are you serious?
We have and have had some of the biggest orgs in history. 4K back in it's day was a global leader and both Dignitas and Fnatic are currenty global leader, both UK based orgs. It's just the big PC titles we lack top players in (SC, QL, CS) but in console we are the best in Europe and in smaller PC games, COD4, CSS TF2 etc we have some of the best teams
