MAP AND RULES

TENTATIVE Map List:

-Terminus RE (finals 1)
-Shattered Temple (finals 2)
-Scrap Station (finals 3)
-Metalopolis (finals 4)
-Tal'Darim Altar (finals 5)
-Shakuras Plateau (finals 6)
-Xel'Naga Caverns (finals 7)

TENTATIVE Map Selection/Rules:

Each player veto’s a map until there is one map left. The first person to veto in each 1st match is the person who is on top of the bracket layout. The 2nd and 3rd match veto’s work the same as the first, but the first person to veto is the loser from the last match. So basically it's like losers take-out in basketball. Players can only veto one map at a time.

For the finals, each player can veto one map leaving 5 left. The player that veto’s first should be decided by a coin toss before the matches start. The player that wins the toss can either pass his veto and veto last, or veto first like a kickoff. And the map order for the finals should go according to the order stated above while noting that if a map is pooled, it will be skipped in the order.

The moderator of this thread will be Karnifexlol. We will be checking this thread periodically, but please PM or talk to Karnifexlol if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. You can also e-mail us at support@odyssey-gaming.com.

*Those that preregister will be automatically entered into a SPECIAL RAFFLE to win a JVC Sound Bar Home Theater Unit, which is priced at $300! Special thanks go out to Dolby for that awesome prize (and more throughout the event).

EDIT:

7-2-11 - ADD US ON FACEBOOK!!!!! http://www.facebook.com/odysseygaming

EDIT:

7-3-11 - Online preregistration (prepayment) ends on July 17, 2011 @ 6:00PM PST.

Thanks guys! Ichabod couldn't have said it better. If all goes well and Verizon gets the ROI they are looking for, you can expect more SC2 tournaments with larger prizes, more coverage, etc.

Hey guys!

I can't express how excited I am for this event If you don't know, we had another event at Odyssey Gaming. Both the players and the staff gave great feedback! We aim to try and create an awesome environment for everybody there and can't wait to have another SCII tourney with our awesome new sponsorship! We hope there will be many more to come.

As previously stated by the OP, I'll be monitoring this thread closely and I encourage any of you to contact me with any feedback you have, either in thread or in a PM.

As far as a stream goes: we're still trying to look for a caster. Preferably a good pro-bono caster that is looking to get his name out there. We had EdwardStarcraft cast our last event, and it turned out quite nice.

We're really hoping for that, my friend. Also so close to Anaheim! I'll actually be at the NASL finals handing out flyers, if you see me, say hi! haha.

Was totally unintentional =/ We've had this date picked for a while now. Just haven't had a chance to finalize the details for the post. But I would encourage you to come check out this event! It's a really nice little LAN center. Check out the pics on website link.

I went to the last one these guys did. Very clean lan center. Nice computers. Friendly staff. Had a great time except for my gf rooting for me to lose . I wish it had a little more room for spectators, but they did have a HUGE projection screen for them which was awesome.

Definitely attending. Just wish whittier one wasn't same day so I could attend both ><

Yea! We will be setting up the projector again for this one. We're also talking to a caster at the moment to get the live stream on the projector as well as have it streamed on the TL tourney tracker.
