To all the players: Did you enjoy the format/intimacy of a LAN setting? Was Odyssey Gaming a fit center for such an event?
To all the spectators: Did you enjoy the intimacy of a LAN setting? Was it an incentive to be that close to all the action?

The main problem was time. We were constricted by time. We were hoping for the full 64 players and made the schedule according to that. Even with the 47 or so players we actually had show up, many of the players and staff were at the event for well over 12 hours. I myself as well as the staff arrived at 6am and were there until almost 11pm. If it was bo3 winners and losers, we would all still be there. haha. Unfortunately having a two day tournament with limited funding interferes with the normal business of a profitable LAN center. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused, but this format was as practical as we saw fit. We'll definitely work out all the kinks for next time. THE GOOD : Personally i think best of 3 for loser brackets have their good and bad, players get to play a bit more, and no lose vs (lets say a cheese strat ) an all in and ur out the BAD: All the lans that we go to with bo3 loser brackets takes literally FOREVER, some players have to wait like about 2 hours for the loser bracket to catch up so its a bit annoying. So i think making loser brackets bo1 was good because of the time u save waiting for loser brackets to catch up. To all the people that were there: Feedback is much appreciated. (Please be as constructive as possible). To all the players: Did you enjoy the format/intimacy of a LAN setting? Was Odyssey Gaming a fit center for such an event? To all the spectators: Did you enjoy the intimacy of a LAN setting? Was it an incentive to be that close to all the action? I went with 4 of my players representing LaG.TT and all of us liked the tournament , good work all u guys, it was fun seeing new faces and friends from other lans, hopefully u guys can do more Lans in the future , once again well done. More Feedback: 1 thing u guys need to work on is communication with the information about the event, i was told it was free to spectate but we ended up having to pay some spectator passes , not bad cuz comes with food and drink and raffle ticket but still u know, i didnt care playing but i know some other ppl got bother by that. Also u guys should of be in top of the players if they were playing or not, not just wait for the results because they were some players waiting about 30 to 40 mins to a player to show up in a couple of cases that i saw( dont know if there were more) but u guys waited too long before the defwin, thats all i think , once again thnx for the tournament and hope to see more action in California gl hf Nestor Villar Owner of LaG.TT Gaming

Should be a good MLG Anaheim from Idra as long as he has a good attitude. As for Sen, sad we won't be seeing in him Anaheim, but hope he does well at the WCG Taiwan Quals ![]() And thanks Verizon for putting on this tournament, hope to see more in the future!

It's the other way around: Sen is favored or slightly favored against Idra, which makes the early 0-2 an indication that Idra has been upping his game and getting back into shape, which is good to see as he looked somewhat sloppy a few weeks ago. Hey man, not trying to be a dick or anything...but SC2 doesn't have LAN. I think what you meant to say is perhaps "live" or in person.

So... 1. 2-0 over EGStrifecro 2. 2-0 over EGiNcontroL 3. 2-0 over EGDeMuslim 4. 0-2 to EGIdrA in his first loss in the winners bracket 5. 2-0 over EGMachine 6. 2-1 in a rematch against EGDeMuslim 7. 3-1 over EGAxslav 8. 3-0 in a rematch against EGIdrA Sen was just an absolute monster as per usual, he just needs some training on how to deal with void rays and he's set! I think this win, plus his recent performances in NASL and Dreamhack, really help Sen as he doesn't usually play in foreigner tournaments and so the common argument against him was that "he hasn't achieved anything" (compared to, for example, Idra, who has a MLG and IPL win under his belt). But beating all of EG, coming top 3 in NASL (outlasting all foreigners there), and outlasting all foreigners but Huk in Dreamhack, should be evidence enough to the doubters that Sen is easily top 3 foreigner Zerg, and perhaps even top 1 foreigner Zerg at the moment.
