This is a thread to discuss fantasy GSTL teams so that the other thread doesn't get cluttered.

- The GSTL schedule seems to have been altered because of F.United's Naniwa and ThorZain's late arrival in Korea due to the Battle.net invitational.
Week FiveWeek Four- FruitDealer and Tester have been moved to StarTale.
Week ThreeWeek Two- The first round of trading is now open.
- Lead-off players for Week Two have yet to be announced.
- Tester and FruitDealer have parted ways with the TSL team. They have had their point values lowered to allow fantasy owners to trade them away at a slight penalty. Trading for FD and Tester on anti-team has been disabled.
- Fenix has been added to the F.United roster.

I chose this team because 1. I believe that Ace is a great player for only 2 points. Gumiho is sometimes random which I believe he will use in the team league. Huk is a steal at 1 point, even though he is on a huge team. I doesn't like fruitdealers chances, he hasn't played very well lately.

Some thoughts for discussion
1. Is MMA really worth 9 points? He won mlg but was knocked into code A by huk.
2. With the more competitive league will teams use more code S players or will they still use relatively unknown snipers. Who are the best snipers? [For example, I chose inca because he is the ultimate pvp sniper.]

For 4 points he's instant anti 5  GuineaPig+ Show Spoiler + I got to have a 5 pointer in anti team, and guineapig is an average player at best. Pretty easy anti team pick 4 InCa+ Show Spoiler + He's always been completely all-in against Terrans, and a PvP bonjwa. His PvZ is absolutely god awful, but I would never expect to see him string more than 1 win at a time in GSTL, if he's even picked to snipe a protoss. For 4 points, he rounds out the team. All my explanations in spoiler tags, read them if you so choose.

fine, I can't resist giving another hint.
Check who got through the recent Code-A qualifiers.
DongRaeGu has gotten knocked out of Code-A qualifiers like four times now, the guys who make it out are GOOD.

Im going for 3 superstars (MC, bomber and DRG) and some rising stars.
oGsHERO at 1 point, total steal. he is really good beating DRG to qualify for code a.
BBoongBboong looked good in the last GSTL.
Taeja got an all kill.
Jooktoo looks good in last gsl.
Soccer could have potential also almost guaranteed to play every time.
MVP seems to be a team on the rise.
FD and trickster just seems meh.
Rainbow is not good.

Already predicting that Hero will be the most used person in the league. Second toss in the oGs line-up, will more than likely see time early and often, has loads of potential, and is only 1 point.

I have no doubt in my mind that Losira/DRG will be the all-stars of the GSTL once again. They play very well under pressure and are solid in at least 2/3 match-ups. Twilight on any other team would be a waste of a pickup but seeing as he's on FXO, it would seem as if him/sheth will be their ace so he should see a lot of playing time. Taeja was an instant pick up for only 2 points with the way he played last GSTL and in the CoTH. Gumiho and Guineapig did well enough last GSTL and I think they will continue to play at a similar level. We haven't seen much of BBonong and Hero but they have had semi-decent results outside of the GSL tournaments and they seemed like good choices for only 1 point a piece.

Also a whole lot of people will be out of the running from the start because they'll be picking F.United players. They aren't scheduled to play till Week 6, so if you have them on your team, they're just taking up space till they then.
None of them are very high, so I would just trade down for people like Naniwa and Thorzain when all their games start coming.

So my strategy was to pick a few guys that look cool, and then some random names, then i clicked send and this was the team i came up with. I like LosirA as captain, because if i was stranded on a Overlord in the ocean, i would put him in command of the vessel to take me home safely.

Having a bunch of middle weights is the best way to play fantasy 
lyn and rainbow seem to be obvious choices for anti-team. GuineaPig stinky too. These guys will tear up! Obvious SlayerS choice for mainteam.

going MMA really hurt my ability to pick more players I wanted, but based on prior GSTL usage, as well as knowing that FXO is going to have to play sheth and twilight more often than not. I think my team will be solid. I just hope MMA's lost in ST won't hurt his confidence in the GSTL. as for my anti team. ensnare, killer, and trickster are easy picks, ensnare has never played, killer and trickster are choke artists.

DRG was exhausted after an extremely close series (including a 68-minute game) with FXOqxc, something to take into account there.

MC has cemented his position as the best Protoss in the world and he's definitely oGs' ace. I'm sure he'll be played late to sweep up for oGs and will probably justify his high cost. Captain because I'm not giving him away for sure! 2 QxcHe's a risk, but he's also cheap and he took DongRaeGu to a 68 minute game in the Code A qualifiers. I can't tell if your first sentence is serious. You do realize that all the teams play the same number of matches, right?

you should watch some of his games in pvt and pvz against theSTC, select and zenio, he just crushed them.

I don't see why this matters? Players values go down as their teams play, so you probably won't be able to trade just about anyone short of MC/MMA/etc for naniwa/thorzain by the time they are about to play.

But you can trade players. If you couldn't trade players, then yeah, there would be zero difference. With the whole trading concept in the Fantasy League, you really don't want to have players on your team who won't be picking up any points for six weeks.

I'm gonna enjoy it when we're a few seasons in, and the sub-game of "pick the lowest scoring team" emerges.

I really only had one interesting choice:
Something tells me QXC reaaaly want some results in korea, he hast to have been practicing hardcore for this and judging by the games he played in the code A qualifiers, I can see him winning more than a few games. Also, because of his ability to play against zerg, I think he will be used as FXO's zerg sniper, and with power-houses like losira and DRG likely to be racking up streaks, QXC might bring in some of those streak breaker bonus points. At 2 points I had to include him.
