ZerO: “Now I learned how to recover quickly”
The saying “A weak mentality” is never a welcoming thing to say to a pro gamer. During a big match, whenever a player crumbles during the ace match, such a comment will never make a player’s mind at ease, especially for Woongjin’s ZerO, who has received many harsh criticisms before. Earlier on the 10th in the PDPop MSL Round of 4, ZerO had to swallow down those bitter words to him again for his performance, but it seems that he will not have to listen to those kinds of words again from now on. Although he hasn’t completely shaken off the notion of his loss in his heart, it seems that in his recent matches, there are signs that he is now recovering slowly from the harsh blow he had received. Will ZerO be able to have a strong mindset again? [T/N: The original second-to-last sentence was something that was very hard to translate from Korean, so I sorta simplified it to make it flow better in English. It was kinda flowery anyway.]

Q: Your thoughts on winning the ace match?
A: I’m happy and all that I’ve finally won in a long while in Proleague, but after our match was over and they immediately started to set up things for the MSL [T/N: Hydra vs. Jaedong’s match], I felt a bit bitter (laughs).
Q: You faced off against Stork again, just like in the MSL Round of 8.
A: The main concept was that the game seemed like last time’s game, except that the map (Bloody Ridge) had a few revisions to it, and the details seemed to be different as well. While I was practicing for our match yesterday, there was a strategy that stood out to me, so I practiced going over it several times and it seemed like a really good strategy. After polishing it up a bit, it seemed like the perfect time to use it against Stork.
Q: Was there a particular reason why you did a Hatchery rush/manner Hatchery in the last moment?
A: In the previous game, Stork hyung did a manner Nexus (against Flying), and after seeing that, I thought that I’d try to do something like that too. The one who started the whole thing was when Really hyung (built 3 manner Command Centers) in the 4th set, so I thought I’d pay back what Stork hyung did in the previous game. [T/N: Really avenging ZerO on great, Stork avenging great, and ZerO avenging Flying! A whole “love” triangle of BM!]
Q: After you saw Really’s “Manner” revenge for you, how did you feel?
A: Really hyung is really close friends with great in the first place. That’s why he says jokingly that great is a “computer Zerg”, and was shocked when he learned that I lost against him. It’s great that he won today and all, but I’m a bit jealous that he can be in that position where he can call great things like that. In my mind, I really wanted to be sent out against great, but since Really hyung was chosen instead, I’ll just wait for another time. I watched Really hyung with great confidence that he would win and believed in him.
Q: Getting eliminating from the MSL seemed to be a huge blow to you.
A: Truthfully… Um.… It was quite bad. However, since I have been knocked out in the individual leagues quite a lot before, it seems that I can recover quickly from the shock now. I had been preparing for this MSL for many years in my progaming life, but to just lose everything like that was really disappointing.
Q: How did you recover from getting eliminated?
A: …(laughs). I’m still bitter about the whole experience. However, since a loss is a loss, I’ll just acknowledge it and move on (laughs).
Q: Compared to your ZvT and ZvP, your ZvZ seems to be a bit weak.
A: A person has to have some flaws so that they can be human, right (laughs). It’s okay. I think that I’ll be able to fix it soon, so I don’t really think of it as a problem. [T/N: I know that that statement will bait tons of flamers, but Zero’s just trying to be optimistic about his ZvZ and is trying not to worry too much about it. Please refrain from turning this thread into a full-on debate about Zero's ZvZ or hurl insults at him for his performance in the MSL. It’s very disappointing indeed that he got knocked out due to his rather weak ZvZ, but there’s no need to derail a whole thread about it. What’s done is done.]
Q: During your team’s 5 loss consecutive losing streak, it must have been quite hard on you.
A: It seriously felt like we were going to die. Our team members have been practicing really hard recently, and I have also been trying my best lately as well, but I also had thoughts where I wondered why things just weren’t working out at all. It still feels like we’re rushing ourselves. If time passes, our efforts will probably eventually come out, so I’m waiting for that moment.
Q: Some of your teammates have shaven their heads, and it seemed like their ambitions were burning during this match.
A: Our team members are really working hard and doing their best these days. That’s why some of our players shaved their hair in order to show their determination and intent. If I had lost today, then I would’ve been so screwed (laughs). [T/N: He actually said “then I would’ve been a convict,” but since that sounds kinda weird, flow > literal translation!] Whenever I see the coaching staff and my fellow teammates, I think, “I should have shaved my head too in the first place, huh,” and feel really sorry to them for not properly carrying out my duties.
Q: Any last words you want to say?
A: After I got eliminated in the MSL yesterday, I am truly sorry to the fans and surrounding people who had been cheering for and supporting me, and I will strive to work even harder in the future. [T/N: You better, Zero! You have a lotta angry fans now, you know!]

ZerO: "...but what the hell do I do with this? Use it as a paperweight or something? Where will I put this thing...."
great: "TurN, pluck my white hair for me."
TurN: *Plucks it* "...hyung, you sure you're in your twenties? They say that it's a bannable offense to lie about your age-"
great: "Shut up TurN!! Who's going to the MSL finals?!? Is it YOU?!?? NO, SO YOU KEEP YOUR TRAP SHUT, YA- HrrrrrNNNNNNNNNGHHH my back!! It hurts!!! TurN, help me onto my recliner and fetch me that cane over there..."
TurN: "Stork hyung, I'm really concerned for great hyung. He doesn't seem to be himself nowadays."
Stork: "Whaaaaaaaaat?! Nonsense! I'll hear none of that! Now look at the TV above me and watch my sick goon micro!"
TurN: "But I don't play Protoss, hyung. ;;"
Stork: *Slaps both hands on TurN's shoulders and whispers into his ears with a low menacing voice* "You're going to watch my goon micro, and you're going to be the next Protoss bonjwa. I am going to raise you as my next successor. And don't say anything to Jangbi, or else he'll get super jealous and bitch at me. He always hates not being in the inner circle." *Lets go of TurN promptly and walks away*
TurN: "??? What'd I do wrong to deserve all this... ;___;"
Flying: "...hey Zero, Soulkey's playing."
Zero: "Wat?! That scrub's up again?!? Welp, time for me to take my daily beauty nap then~ Zzzzzz~"
*After watching Really make 3 manner CCs*
Samsung's other coach: "WAT? You call that a manner CC right there?!?? Where's firebathero, I need to tell him about this noob. He's TOTALLY doing the whole thing wrong!! What a disgusting performance!! Such sloppiness! Such filthiness! Such-"
Coach January: "Um, you do realize that we're losing here..."
Samsung's other coach: "Oh. Yeah. Riiight." *Coughs*
Look who it is. G-Chizzle does not approve of Really's manner CCs as well. "You need more pizazz, boy! Pizazz!! And some fire and explosions and shit too to make it into a Blockbuster hit."
In fact, Guemchi takes orders from no one. Not even from his coach. Look at that badass, defying glare right there. Along with Zero's mesmerized stare. The G-Chizzle knows who's the true boss around here.
Samsung sends out Stork, hoping that he will serve as their "Final Boss"!
But alas, he does not know his impending incoming doom...
DUN.
DUN.
DUN.
Zero: "Hiiiii Storrrrrk hyuuuuunnng~ I have your number, you know. Teehee! ♥"
Zero after defeating Stork in the ace match: "Remember Stork hyung, you can always call me when you're lonely! I'll be available... Any time, any place, anywhere! Teehee! Saranghae, hyuuunnng!! ♥"
Unfortunately, Stork got many nightmares about PvZ that night. Why? Who the hell knows.
