KT’s Flash, Stats, graduate high school after 3 years of schoolwork

KT’s ace Flash and his teammate Stats graduated high school to officially become adults (T/N: “Adults” as in “not students” anymore. In Korea, there is a distinct divide between students and those who have finished school).
Flash and Stats enrolled in Seoul Digitech High School in 2008. After finishing three years of schoolwork, they received their diplomas during the graduation ceremony that took place on February 9th.

Both Flash’s and Stats’ family, friends, KT’s coaching staff, and teammates were present during the ceremony.
Because Flash – as the current face of progaming – brought publicity and raised the reputation of the school, he received an "Award of Recognition".

After the graduation ceremony, Flash said “I really appreciate it that the school gave me an additional award,” adding that “now that I’m an adult I will return my fans’ support by playing like one during my games”. Stats said “I can’t believe I graduated. Now that I did, I will try to show better performances this year”.

And now flash is actually gonna take sc seriously. This is so scary.
Really though, it's amazing they've managed to do that while playing pro sc, which is quite a dedication! Gz to both of them!

Doesnt that mean Flash and Stats need to go to the army soon if they do not go for higher education?

Congratz to Flash and Stats. Clapclapclap.

And with this, Ongamenet begins saving up to buy enough diamonds for 2014.

I wonder if the school voted on such topics as Most Likely To All-Kill Hwaseung Oz.
Edit: Having Reach attend your high school graduation = Priceless.

Wait Flash just graduated High School in 3 years? Is that the traditional length for students in Korea? In America High School is four years barring special exceptions.
So between 2008 and now, FLASH successfully completed high school in a time frame comparable or faster to any other student??

now they can focus solely on Starcraft.

Even in cold weather
Reach what a fucking man.

Don't you mean 4?

Mmm Flash twitch during exams = hax
It's going to be weird from now on to think of Flash as an adult, with him trying to be all cute and stuff, plus his records for youngest player etc.
Little Monster no more? ><
That's crazy!
Edit: Oh wow he is 18 now (regular age)
Edit2: Grats to Stats as well on his Chinploma~

the high school that flash and co go to isn't as strenuous as most high schools, as you might figure. same for the college that progamers go to. they know of their special circumstances. it's more symbolic than anything, really.
good 4 flash, though. i think he's of drinking age now

Alright, now Stats can go win the OSL!

Three years of high school is normal in Korea, but that doesn't actually mean school is shorter than American overall: in Korea it's 1-6 elementary, 7-9 middle school, 10-12 high school. Though iirc some kids don't go to kindergarten, and I forget when school age is (though there was an attempt to lower it while I was in Korea) so that may throw things off one way or another.
