So just wondering why and how did every one go about picking your race in Starcraft 2? So like was it because they look cool, they have a play style you like or just because they are the same race you played in SC1 and so on.

But seriously, i've always been a fan of toss, although I played terran in broodwar. New game, time to mix things up.

They moved the probe/pylon hotkey to 'e' so I switched to protoss.

terran seemed to most straightforward, when i 1st played I got really distracted by the whole "3D look" so i didn't want to deal w/ larva, or pylons, and warping crap instead of just making them in ur production buildings.

(even tho I was zerg in BW, terran just felt the least convoluted)

Protoss is easy. Playing terran would be quite a challenge for me, and I don't think I can even get started on Zerg.

I play Z because I like the playstyle and it just feels smooth and seamless.

I've been trying to learn protoss but I fail pretty hard...

Terran. It's the only race that has a unit that can be micromanaged somewhat. (hellion)

I'm terran just cause ghosts are so bad ass. I'm thinking of switching to Protoss though because I'm pretty good with toss, was my race in broodwar, and because warping in with pylons/warp prism can make really good games.

Hopefully there will be a way to race-pick in the ladder.

when SC1 came out I used to have two best friends and we played together all the time (It was 98 so we were like 9 or so) One ended up being a Protoss player one was a Terran player, so obviously I had to fill the trifecta.

As for SC2 well after playing Zerg so exclusively during brood war it just fit like an old glove.

I tried all 3 races when I got access to the beta and I just fell in love with the addon and Orbital Command mechanics of terran. So I'm playing terran so far.
I've also been playing terran in sc1.
