UPDATE: Alcohol will not be permitted in the event. At all. If we get caught, everyone is bounced. They will probably have people checking up on us. Don't risk it - predrink as much as you want, drink in the hotel and in people's rooms, but not in the actual conference room.
Actually, on second thought, can't we just drink in the hotel lobby/parking lot in between games? Let's do that.
Where: The Anaheim Marriott. 700 West Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802. Salon 1&2 on the main floor.
When: Friday, August 21 @ 10:00 pm - Saturday August 22 @ 6:00 am. The actual OSL starts at 2:00 am. Feel free to show up whenever you want. Seating is limited. We reserve the right to hold seating for staff!
Schedule: 10:00 - 11:00 Arrival, introductions, technical set-up.
11:00 - 2:00 Live showmatches and commentary, classic VODs.
2:00 - 2:30 Pre-game interviews translated by LosingID8.
2:30 - 5:30 (approx.) OSL.
5:30 - 6:00 Winner's ceremony and interviews translated by LosingID8.
Who: Literally everyone is invited. Pretty much anyone who is anyone in Starcraft will be there. This includes all Teamliquid staff, USA / media players, and the CJ team and staff.
Cost: Free.
Food / Drinks: Bring your own (a lot).
What we need: 3 Laptops with wireless network cards (Have a million)
Other Cool Shit: We have confirmed with Sean Oh (CJ Manager) that he and the CJ players will be coming. Because he knows there are tons of CJ fans on TL, Sean is going to be bringing some new CJ shirts as gifts - there will be some sort of contest (he's thinking CJ trivia) and top fans get one etc etc. That and you can buy savior (or kennigit) a beer. Reason enough to come.
1 High quality webcam (Have 1)
1 High quality desk microphone to capture ambient crowd noise (Have 2 shitty ones)
1 Projector (Have 1)
Powerstrips and extension cords (As many as possible)
We're counting on TL members to provide this equipment. If you have access to it, please PM Chill and commit to bringing it.
The condition of this room is TL staff members' liability. Please don't destroy the room because Kennigit has been itching to test his military training.

I'm stoked. Would be willing to bring a laptop if anyone who's travelled before can tell me how rigourously they check laptops at the border (Canuck here) because I'll have to delete some *ahem* files (and assuming only those who need to use it are touching it).

This will be 100x better than blizzcon itself. The actual event is fun, but nothing compared to meeting TL peeps and owning wow nubs in sc2.
