-듀얼토너먼트를 통과한 첫 프로토스가 됐는데.
-You’ve become the first Protoss user to advance through Dual Tournament.
▶그런 것은 신경쓰지 못했다. 이번 주 일정이 너무 많아서 힘들었는데 프로리그, MSL, 듀얼토너먼트 모두 다 이겨서 정말 기쁘다.
▶ I couldn’t really pay attention to that. I was tired due to my packed schedule this week, but I’m so happy after winning all ProLeague, MSL, and Dual Tournament.
-힘든 일정 조율은 어떻게 했나.
-How did you work out your schedule.
▶항상 경기에 대한 생각만 했다. 자기 전에도 빌드오더를 생각하고, 쉬는 시간에도 이미지트레이닝을 많이했다. 특별히 잠을 줄여서 게임한 것은 아니다.
▶ I was always thinking about the game. Before going to sleep, I would think about Build Orders, and on my spare time, I did a lot of image training. I didn’t particularly sleep less to play more games.
-오늘 경기를 자평한다면.
-If you were to self-evaluate your games today.
▶준비한대로 잘 풀렸다. 첫 경기는 옵저버 드라군 이후 상대를 보면서 운영하려했던게 잘 먹혔다. 아카디아2는 싫어해서 전진 2게이트로 승부를 봤다. 어제도 썼는데 오늘도 통하더라.
▶ It worked well as prepared. In the first game, I was trying to go Observer + Dragoon, followed by managing the game while seeing my opponent. I didn’t like Arcadia 2, so I put everything on proxy 2 gates. I used it yesterday, and it worked today too.
-양대리그에 오른 소감.
-Any words on advancing on both leagues.
▶두개 다 올라가고 싶었다. 이렇게 올라가게 돼 더욱 열심히 해서 주목받을 수 있어야 한다고 다짐하고 있다. 운도 좋았고, 개인적으로도 정말 기쁘다. 최근에는 방송경기에 대한 자신감도 생긴다.
▶ I wanted to advance on both. Advancing like this, I’m telling myself to try even harder to get more attention. Luck was on my side, and personally, I’m very happy. Lately, I’ve been confident in broadcasted games.
-스타리그 목표 한마디.
-A word on your goals for StarLeague
▶누굴 만나든 상관 없지만 이윤열에게 지명을 받고 싶다. 누가 날 지명하든 상관 없지만 그 조에 꼭 들어가고 싶다. 이윤열이 최연성을 지명하고, 최연성이 날 지명해도 좋다. 그 조가 죽음의 조라고는 생각하지 않는다.
▶ It doesn’t matter who I face, but I would like to be designated by Lee Yoon-Yeol (NaDa). It doesn’t matter who designates me, but I would really like to get in that group. It’s ok for Lee Yoon-Yeol (NaDa) to designate Choi Yeon-Sung (iloveoov), and Choi Yeon-Sung (iloveoov) to designate me. I don’t think that’s the group of death.

-2연속 본선 진출에 성공했다.
-You’ve succeeded in advancing to the main stages two times in a row.
▶지난 시즌에 올라온 신인들도 듀얼토너먼트를 통해서 스타리그에 올라갔다. 이재호나 장 육 같은 선수들을 보면서 자극을 받았다. 꼭 올라가고 싶었다.
▶ The new players that advanced last season did it through Dual Tournament too. I was stimulated by looking at players like Lee Jae-Ho (Light[aLive]) and Jang Yook (Sea.JY). I really wanted to advance.
-첫 경기에서 패배했는데.
-You lost your first game.
▶처음 경기에 SCV를 두기나 정찰을 보냈지만 제대로 건물을 못보고 다 잡혔다. 지난 경기에서 수비지향적인 경기를 하다가 아무것도 못하고 패배했다. 그래서 수비를 하고 싶지는 않았지만 어쩔 수 없었다. 실력으로 졌다.
▶ In the first game, I even sent in two SCVs to scout, but they were all destroyed before getting a good look at buildings. Last game, I was playing defensively, just to lose without being able to do anything. So I didn’t want to play defensively, but I didn’t have a choice. I lost due to the skill level.
-프로토스전은 보강할 필요가 있어보인다.
-It looks like your TvP needs some more practice.
▶연습때는 프로토스전이 어렵지 않다. 그러나 방송경기와는 좀 다르더라. 예상치 못한 변수가 많이 벌어진다. 차차 극복하겠다.
▶ During games, TvP isn’t difficult for me. However, broadcasted games were a bit different. There are a lot of unexpected factors. I’ll improve in due time.
-패자전의 바이오닉 러시는 노림수인가.
-Was your Bionic rush in the losers game your focus.
▶ 저그와 붙게 된다면 1배럭 더블커맨드를 하려고 했다. 그러나 막상 경기를 하니까 생각이 바뀌더라. 배럭 완성된 것으로 또 배럭을 건설하고 아카데미 건설하고 하면서 바이오닉 병력을 진출시켰다. 상대 방어라인을 보니까 난입할 수 있을거 같더라.
▶ I was going to go 1 Barracks – Expo if I was going to face Zerg. However, when the game started, my mind changed. After the first Barracks was complete, I built another Barracks, then an Academy, and then I sent out my Bionic force. After looking at my enemy’s defense line, it looked like I could get in there.
-변은종과의 경기도 즉흥적이었나.
-Was your game (build order) against Byun Eun-Jong (Jju) spontaneous?
▶그렇다. 1배럭 더블을 준비했다가 아카데미 건설하고 바이오닉 러시를 준비했다. 은종형이 확장보다 스포닝풀을 먼저 건설했기 때문이다.
▶ Yes. I prepared for 1 Barracks – Expo, but ended up building an Academy and got ready for a Bionic rush. It’s because Eun-Jong hyung built a Spawning Pool before building Hatchery.
-지난 스타리그는 좋은 성적을 못냈다.
-You didn’t do so well during the last StarLeague.
▶지난 시즌은 내가 무엇을 하는지도 모르겠을 정도로 못했다. 이번 시즌은 그런 경기를 안 할 것이다. 후회를 남기지 않는 게임을 하고 싶다.
▶ Last season, I was doing so bad, I didn’t even know what I was doing. It won’t happen this season. I would like to play games that I won’t regret.
