If it is EG just picking up someone else's player I think they need to focus more on getting some of their home grown players some results instead of just picking up better people.

i think the 'for the fans' refers to HuK as he does do things for the fans. This sounds stupid, but he's known for doing things like the hearts and the mothership rushes and he would say 'just for the fans' and such.
