Are we really going to pretend they're both equally equipped to play this game, and that it will be even? Would Aurora even play if it wasn't for the $25 for the loser? Next time, get _her_ a better opponent. Also those bags looks ridiculous, who would ever carry them?

I really don't mean to offend anyone by saying this, but I have a strong feeling we're all being too scared to be seen as pollitically incorrect to the extent we're like the people in that tale where the Emperor is naked but nobody says anything.

Scarlet was a man, now she's a woman. And now everyone is giving her extra attention because she's a girl. She plays showmatches vs other girls. What would happen if TLO decided to become a girl, would you pit him against other girls? Would we see extra publicity for him, articles in newspapers how girls can compete with the best?

I wish all the best for Scarlett, but she's not really exactly the same as other girls.

(In athletics, Caster Semenya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caster_Semenya), was subjected to gender testing before she could continue competing with other girls. In SC2, a transgender is suddenly "such a good player for a girl".)

I'm really not trying to provoke, I'm just saying my opinion. If someone thinks I'm not seeing something, please explain it well.

Watch out boy, you`ll be banned. TL sucks at this. Everyone needs to act "politically correct" (such thing does not exist).

And you just said the true words.

As far as we know she's always been a woman, if only mentally. Don't let aesthetics confuse you.

I think a lot of people just need to look into what transgender actually means. It's really quite fascinating stuff.

Bullshit, Scarlett isn't "such a good player for a girl", she's so good for a previously unknown player. The TLO example doesn't work at all as he already has a huge fanbase, so obviously he would get lots of attention. Maybe your post would make sense if Scarlett had taken a game off of 1 or 2 pros. But no, she took series off of multiple professional players. Any unknown player would have gotten a lot of attention for that, and for good reason.

if it had been an unkown male he wouldt be having a showmatch against a woman, he would be having a showmatch against someone else whod made a name for himself in tournaments, some other up and comer who people thought would go places

incredibly rude, and saying "serious question" with "lol" twice in 2 sentences hardly makes it seem like you aren't trying to be offensive.
edit: if you read the esfi article she states she is a MtF transgendered, that being said she IS a she, regardless of how she was born

best of luck to both players

Im amazed of how many simply accept a transgender as the other gender period. I personally have nothing against any sort of HBTq people and really do think whatever makes them happy is the right thing to do but to actually consider scarlett a woman is hard, bordering to impossible, for me... for me its a question of genetics not appereance nor lifestyle. But oh well, whatever makes Scarlett happy is again fine by me and I wish Scarlett the best of luck in every way.

oh well, I might get banned for even discussing this, has happened before :p.

But can you really define gender by what you feel like inside? Does the attributes, chromosomes really matter less then you feelings? Do not take this the wrong way, I am not calling transgenders crazy but there are people that within consider themselves as other things. I saw a on outsider a year or so ago a program about a girl that considered herself as being a Cat. Are we therefore supposed to see her as such even though she is obviously born a human.

Were is the line drawn, who draws it? What defines gender as a whole. And why do we need to make it this hard. Why cant we simply call it what it is, an aesthetic gender change. You do not actually change gender, that is currently impossible.

* and I am discussing this out of interrest in the subject and how people reason nothing else. The wrong forum though but its come up so..

It helps when you differentiate between sex and gender. So yes, you can define gender by how you feel, as it isn't about how you are physically equipped, as far as I understand.

So basically, your gender identity can be different from your biological sex, which I imagine can be very frustrating to deal with (feeling trapped inside the wrong body), and thus you can undergo treatment to physically change into the sex you desire to be.
