That's not a fix. A fix removes the problem from being a problem, that's more of a weak patch the thing is still an annoyance.

I guess if it happens all the time then it's still annoying, but for me it happens only about once in a day and dragging that cursor to top right isn't too bad. For me it's just about as good as the problem not existing at all.

Yes, Catalyst 10.12 fixes the problem completely.

Ok I know this thread is dead for some time now but my account is new and I can't create a new thread yet.
So I (and a lot of other people I know) where still facing this problem even with the latest drivers.
But the solution is as simple as adding curser trails.

Most of the times it doesnt work. Whereas switching to mode "Windowed (Fullscreen)" solves it.

I had a problem with this and It was easy to fix for me. I get the lined cursor when in game an i go to the bottom right to move the screen. what happens is the windows aero peak button gets hit and the cursor glitches out till i restart the computer. showing mouse trails is a temp fix for me but its annoying.

SOLUTION:

Right-click task bar

Choose Properties

Under "Preview Desktop With Aero Peak"

Deselect "Use Aero Peak To Display The Desktop"

Since I've done this I have not had the issue reoccur.

I have the latest nvidea driver and I have this problem. I have an EVGA 660ti with the Nvidea 344.11 driver. This only seems to start after I installed that nvidea driver, but it could be something else.

Does anyone have a fix? I have been trying everything with no success. I love this game, adn it sucks to not be able to play it.

I am still having this problem. I finally made silver, and now i think 20% of my losses are do to this BS. I just want to play the game. Any experts out there who know the answer? This is terrible.

I am having a similar problem where my mouse cursor simply disappears. I finally made it into Silver league, and now I lose as many games over this as I do for real. It is killing me. I cannot figure it out. I restart a bunch of time to get it to go away, and nothing works, then magically it does, then it comes back five days later. Does anyone have a definitive fix?

Cyro, rolling back to the previous Nvidea driver did not work. I am now updated to the latest (for the Civ alien game), and it is still there. I had it go away for a while, but now it is back.

The guy at Battlenet implied that it was peripheral issue. I have had the same Steel Series Ikari mouse forever, so that cannot be it, but I did recently purchase a Starcraft zBoard cheap. It is not a bad keyboard, but htis be cuasing my pain? I had finally made silver, then shot up to #1, now I lose every game because I HAVE NO MOUSE IN GAME! Please, someone, anyone, help me.

I got the keyboard on 10/16/2014, so it cannot be that either. I have no idea what is causing this. Do I reinstall the game?

I have a similar problem, my cursor will leave the SC2 screen and go to my secondary monitor when I put my mouse on the edge. I have cursor locked on but it still does it

I am offering a $10 reward to anyone who can help me on this, just in case some poor student needs an excuse to spend some time figuring it out.

I love this game, and nothing is fixing this. I switched out mouse and keyboard, no impact. restart, no impact. I do not know what to do.

Everyone that has this problem, with any game.

There is a REALLY EASY temporary fix for when it happens.

Run Windows Magnifier, at full screen, at 100% magnification.

It's annoying to have to take 2 seconds to tab out and open it, but it will prevent you from losing any games because of it.

This Fixes the mouse cursor while it is open - after the game, just sleep/wake up your computer and your good.

About the underlying cause, it's probably a driver/os/hardware issue thats pretty deep - I doubt it's debuggable/fixable easily on the user end.
