Well they're related, but I'd say a stalemate is more about no legal moves available (one guy has only flying buildings but the map is covered in creep, and the other one has only zerglings and no money), where a deadlock is about no sane moves available (do something and you die). Certainly you could use them interchangeably in most situations. | ||
