Like Sandermatt said, women usually don't compete with dudes in physical sports but it doesn't make them less legitimate athletes.Even if women never get to the pinnacle of the sport they could still be fiercely competitive, and imagine the fun of a mixed doubles 2v2 league etc. Nothing bad can come from this so stop being all negative nelly about it. And if you're butthurt that you're not getting the same attention because you're not a girl maybe you should grow a pair, because you certainly aren't a man.

![]() I approve of all E-sports growth and don't see why women shouldn't have their own thing - if that's what they want. Personally I think gaming girls > non-gaming girls so you got my support ![]() And of course I approve of girl expo in e-sport context since, as previously stated, it may help other girls take the leap into playing seriously which is awesome!

This is in my opinion one of the things that is holding back e-sports from exploding to something it could be. its this elitist attitude suggesting that noone has anything to offer unless they have some major accomplishments. everything starts out small and grows over time. Start with your support and let them grow into something amazing. even if that doesnt happen it can only bring good thing. I think its great that things like this take place.

Interviews are usually for top players with achievements to be fair so he does have a point, although it was phrased quite harshly. They don't interview some random B teamer after Barcelona destroy Real Madrid for the 50th time to see how well they're coming along. All for encouraging female players in sc2 though, been trying to convince my sister for a long time but she just wants to play the sims! ![]()

'What methods do you use to improve your play style and make best use of your gaming time?' *I'm very intrigued how they may answer this question, I agree we girls need someone to look up to, so perhaps another question for them 'Who do you draw your inspiration from for SC2?' <3 Great idea miken as well!

I noticed female gamers hang out with friends, go shopping, and do girly stuff, which is great. I just think that without a schedule as robust as most male progamers, it is harder to compete. This makes sense, right? Women are probably not limited by physical capability, but by time commitment. Basically, as long as they care about not getting fat and doing girly things and maintaining social lives that aren't based around a game, it will be hard for them to get amazing. I feel they should be put into the same leagues as men. It makes sense, no? I don't think they should receive special treatment for what a lot of us do. I'm all for getting women involved in e sports. I just don't think they should receive merit on gender alone. But if that attention isn't there, what will possibly bring them in? Wonder if I'll get banned. Hope I didnt come off as sexist. User was temp banned for this post.

All-girls teams/leagues attract straight gamer guys. All-girl teams/leagues with big sponsors attract the straight gamer guy population which is the majority of gamers.

I just feel that equality between genders should exist where it can. I understand it may never happen In gaming because the majority of gamers are sexually healthy young men. It just feels a little odd, knowing that sexualized teams (you can't deny it is a large part of the appeal of female gamers) of all women may be good for e sports. Women always talk about equality, and it seems unfair that these female-only leagues may reward being a women over being a great player. I am not saying that female gamers are unskillful, I just think that when judging a player, you should judge by skill alone.
