"Having different opinion about korea (note: they don't explain anything more) , Eclypsia and his international roster including artist, slog, scarlett and desrow have commonly decided to part way. It will allow these players to focus more on their goals, and eclypsia on its. We would have loved to find a replacement team for our former players, a team to meet their expectations. We wish good luck to these players that are, for us, really talented, it was a pleasure working with them. We will stay really active on the e-sport scene, and we wish to prioritize our presence on european scene The eclypsia management team" it does'nt really explain anything >_<

Personally, I don't like Scarlett as a starcraft player. Her winning all the female tournaments is not very fair from my standpoint. Wouldn't be too thrilled to see her on Team Liquid or EG. So she should deny the invitations? Also, she showed very good results at IPL4 aswell. One thing that always confuses me aswell, is that the critics of Scarlett seems to think she's transgendered as a choice to win female tournaments, and that's just absurd. Afaik there is genetic studies that has showed that transgendered peoples brains are more like those of the gender they are not born as, than the gender they are born as, and from there it comes that they start feeling like they are a man trapped in a womans body or the otherway around.

"Not very fair" from your standpoint? If you want to say something, just say it.

Maybe someone can translate their statement, but it looks like they parted ways by mutual agreement, so the players can be picked up by new teams and don't have to pay a fine or need to be bought out of their contracts with EC. Hopefully everything works out fine for the players, but this is really bad publicity for EC. They seem to be a legitimate business that pays the salaries, but they really need to learn how to deal with the community. Following differences of opinion on korea, Eclypsia and its roster includes internationnal Artist , Slog , desRow and Scarlett have decided by mutual agreement to stop collaboration. This will allow players listed above focus on their goals and has Eclypsia on his own. We would like to find a host team for our former players, who would correspondue their expectations. We wish a very good luck to those players who are very talented for us and with whom we were delighted to be working. We continue on our side to be very active on the e-sport and want to focus primarily our presence in Europe . The team Eclypsia That translation is using Google Translate so it might and WILL have grammar mistakes but you can get the general picture with it so thats good enough for me

If there was no skill handicap (don't know if this is the right word, my native language is not english) for women, there would be no female only tournaments. Since I believe this is a genetic thing I am simply not convinced that merely feeling female is enough to make you female in every single way. On May 13 2012 06:46 whiterabbit wrote: He can't. But since they promised it, they offered the option to leave the team or surrender the chance to go to korea for now.

Allow me to preface this by saying I support Scarlett, and am interested to see where she takes her career. Although it is obvious that Scarlett's choice to undergo a prolonged surgery to restructure the most fundamental aspect of human identity was not prompted by anything as petty as winning SC2 tournaments, there is a bit of a conundrum there regarding whether to treat her as a female or not. It is well-known that men on average do in fact have faster reaction times than women, and it's not entirely clear what effect the surgery has on this fact. Given that Scarlett has been leaving all the other female competitors in the dust, it isn't completely out of the question that her male birth gives her an innate advantage. If this is the case, it may not be appropriate to let her compete in the female-only tournaments, as she isn't really playing the same game as the rest of them. Then again, she could just be Tossgirl 2.0. We simply don't have any conclusive evidence either way. I'm not sure which side of the issue I come down on, but I think it's something that'll have to be discussed at some point or other. We'll have to wait and see. As far as Scarlett herself is concerned, I think she should keep on collecting free wins against lower-skilled opponents. She's a progamer. She does this for a living. As long as she isn't cheating or in any other way degrading the scene, I don't care WHAT she does to make money, just like I don't care what any other progamer does to get their prize money. That'll be the end of my little monologue. I find it very interesting, and it's what makes Scarlett such a fascinating player to me. User was warned for this post

I hope players made good decision, and I am looking forward to players/team statement and I hope all of them find another team asap - they surely deserve good practice enviorement and sponsorship! He can't. Well he can but he will get instant banned. because he would be spouting more shit. theres nothing fair or unfair about her being invited to a tournament. call it female only if you want but the facts are the organisers invite people they feel like inviting and then those people play, they all happen to be female is nothing to do with it and the fact its even brought up is just passively bringing up the whole gender debate again.

(stop hating on eclypsia until we get all the info!!) *disclaimer: if we have all the info then disregard that last part. They told the players that they'd support them going to/staying in Korea, which was a large part of why a lot of them joined, and then backed out on that offer. That's enough to warrant us "hating on them" even if we don't have all the info (which we don't).
