Yeah without that 250 gas zergs will certainly instantly lose to the early game pushes of protoss. Oh wait toss just sits on their ass all game right? Shit son 5 hydras gamechanging against an opponent that doesn't attack you. Just making sure here, you say that protoss will just build tons of crap to protect his third but zerg can't afford to tech - You do realize... that protoss pays for their buildings too right? I also don't see why spanishiwas mediocre ladder presence can be used as an arguement for his strategy being bad/ not usable. If you listened to stog last week, idra mentions he has been playing arroud with the strategy and does something similar, are you gonna discredit EGidra as a mediocre zerg too? On some maps protoss can sit on his ass well defended but zerg has soo many options for counterattacks and harassment but rarely use any of them. And yes i know i'm oversimpifying it and no i don't play zerg, but i can tell you obviously don't play protoss either so let's call it even? When you have to spend gas on things like overlordspeed/overseeers, roach speed/tunneling claws, burrow, roaches, hydras, upgrades, etc etc. Yeah, it is gamechanging. There is no way that a protoss can just outright die like zerg can. You don't have to worry about even half the things that zerg does. Zerg has to go pretty far out of their way just to make sure they don't instantly lose the game if the protoss decides to attack, and often times that isn't even enough. And yes, I understand that cannons cost minerals but when your units are so much stronger than all of zergs, you can easily afford to spend extra minerals here and there. Zerg does NOT have "so many options for counterattacks". Protoss can easily make walls of buildings that will buy them enough time to get enough units warped in or maneuver their army in place to defend. Also protoss have observers. Last time I checked, those were pretty good. There are many finer details to the matchup that people dont really talk about. Zerg has so few options all game because they're so vulnerable all game. Anyway, this tires me so I'm not going to bother replying anymore because protoss players refuse to acknowledge that protoss DOES have a rather unfair advantage in the matchup. | ||
