- Gomez seems like a primary contender, 3 goals and classy midfielders behind his back, could be enough. - Cristiano Ronaldo looked scary last game, might score some more against Czech team and later in semis. - Mandzukic has 100% shot efficiency so far, perhaps he'll race with two CR and Gomez if Croatia makes it. - Torres ended his nearly 2-year sniper hiatus against Ireland but midfielders will probably steal some goals from him. - Poor Dzagoev, poor Ibrahimovic, poor Lewandowski, so much better than their respective teams. - Huntelaar... was he on a pitch against Portugal? I haven't noticed. - Wayne Rooney... Coming soon...

Gomez will have the same problems vs Greece as he had with Denmark after that Germany meets France/Italy and then Spain/Portugal. That's my take on group A, B scorers so far.

In fact, I think England will be knocked out in the next round and probably won't score another goal. It's looking very likely that they will play Spain next which is certainly too tall on order for England to overcome.

And vs Portugal he never got the ball from the playmakers on the midfield. he got the most balls from the goalkeeper and the defenders. All time before the match Huntelaar talked about coming over the flanks and giving crosses in the box area. The entire game there was 1. Van Marwijk failed tactically and the results blew up the whole team into different factions.

You can't really compare EURO and the World Cup - World cup is a stage longer, and the overall quality of teams is worse. As a top team, you're basically guaranteed a walkover during the group stages unless you get really unlucky with the seeding/drafting.

YO! weakest team?? .How is being crushed by the world champions and almost snatching a victory against a semi finalists being the weakest team? Wtf did the dutch do ? If anything holland were the weakest, all that talent you couldn't get past the ego's and play like a world class team, like you should have. Besides Ireland was great for this tournament. Showed everyone how to take a gracious loss and still have the spirit to enjoy the game. ..weakest team...... cheeky mofo..... ON topic: Gomez is the real contender now. God I pray italy get thru'! They've really changed there style and is awesome to see.

Also Gomez out, Balotelli is prime contender now :o
