"wtf the protoss won? so overpowered!" We haven't had a hance to see Crunchers PvP yet in the TSL so we can't completely write him off because his micro isn't too bad, but I think Naniwa is so strong in PvP I don't think Cruncher will take more than 1 game off him.

Well, everyone is right ![]() I mean, he's certainly a master-level player, or even low grandmaster-level, but I think that he's completly outmatched by the caliber of skill of the other competitors. Dunno how he came this far in the TSL... GOGO NANIWA !!! HasuObs vs Boxer... well, I'd like to see boxer win because he's not winning a lot lately I think, but Hasu can give him a run for his money ![]()

. Beating Beastyqt (currently ranked NUMBER 1 on the global grandmaster ladder), also beating kiwikaki, fenix, and ciara. . Cruncher is also currently ranked 3 on NA... so don't be so quick to say he is bad... anyways, i was saying i thought it was funny people don't like him because he does throw in the cannon rush, turtle to max, sentry play, but its part of the game and he plays to win, so i personally would never dislike a player for just playing the game. Hes not cheating. If it wasn't meant to be part of the game, Blizzard would have made some kind of rule where you have to build cannons close to your nexus. But thats not the case!! Plus I find cannon rushes quite fun to watch. Especially in the cases where the game continues after the rush and the players have to think on the spot. It's easy to have a planned build order but the true test is their decision making when things get hairy. A true test!! How do you respond to cheese!!? A perfect example of this is when cruncher played mondragon last week. Mondragon could have just let those cannons finished, cancelled his hatch, droned and teched/nydus/a number of other things, as cannons are NOT that cheap. He instead attacked the cannons with all his drones and let the hatch finish. He failed the test under pressure... Not to say I think Cruncher will win... hmmm. I still have to go with naniwa. I'm not sure how Cruncher's PvP is. Cheese is pretty prevalant in pvp... MC cannon rushed San in the GSL last month, and double proxy gated Whitera at dreamhack. Ahhh well... I def. voted this match the most anticipated. Cruncher must be a pretty funny guy in person. EDIT: Ok after reading the comments, I am really rooting for Cruncher!! haha. The same people that said Idra would roll cruncher, that MC would roll thorzain, and umm ALL the other TSL first rounds... that were wrong... are probably the ones saying naniwa will roll cruncher. GOGO Captain Cruncher!

Thorzain has a negative record in TvT, and considering Kas beat Nada in his best MU, I have a feeling Kas will win. I really can't tell between Naniwa and Hasu though, but I think Naniwa is favoured there. It's sad because Thorzain is the last player in the tournament with a really really uniqe style of play :'/

Neither CrunCher win was via cheese. I'd hardly call that humiliation for CrunCher. If anything taking NaNi to 5 games in the fashion that he did proves CrunCher has more skill than some of his detractors believe. Edit: To Jonny55: His skill sure did come out. CrunCher lost to a 4 Gate in Game 5. If he had held off NaNi he might have won that game, like in Game 4, and thus won the series. That shows QUITE a lot of skill. ![]()
