This is the first and only thing I have seen that makes me dislike Cruncher, lol.

I can't believe some people are saying he got "outplayed". If taking 5 bases, spreading creep around the entire map, and always having a supply and econ lead are "outplayed", then I want to be outplayed every game. It seems zerg has no hope in the late game and a mondragon style is the only option (which seems like you have to drastically out-multitask IMO), but I don't really know what the new investors will bring to the matchup. Sit on 3 bases, hit 200/200, win. This is outplaying someone who map-owned you? He did exactly what Cruncher wanted him to do. You can shout that it's imbalanced all you want, but IdrA doesn't even try to do something different, he just plays a way that he knows he's going to lose. If you let Protoss sit on 3-base and get the perfect composition YOU LOSE. Yeah dude, that much is pretty obvious by now, and no I'm not shouting. Zerg is weak in way too many areas, scouting, cost effectiveness of units, defense, ability to be aggressive, and can't even play a macro game against toss - the fundamentally strongest trait of the race just doesn't work because the cost effectiveness of zerg units are that low. In ZvP zerg was left to choose between weak aggression and weak late game macro. Even in a base trade situation toss can leave a few sentries + one colossus behind and that will delay and weaken the entire zerg army so much while the insane dps of void rays combined with the low number of zerg buildings makes a base trade not a good option. Did you even watch the same game as me? Idra didn't even "let" him sit on three base, he tried to attack but it just didn't work. Forcefields and colossus make and ground assault suicide and drops/nydus aren't exactly difficult to entirely fend off when you're sitting on three close bases. That's strange, I saw IdrA bust into the natural more than once and yet he never focused the nexus... He had plenty of time to take it down, never tried.

Forcefields and colossus make and ground assault suicide and drops/nydus aren't exactly difficult to entirely fend off when you're sitting on three close bases. Yes I watched it. When IdrA attacked the front he was already 200/200, and Cruncher's 3rd was saturated. If the only aggression you do is poking the front when you hit 200/200 you are playing very passively. In the second game he abused P's immobility, but in the first game he didn't. Why not drop Hyras to snipe the 3rd while your Roaches bust the front? I don't care what he tries as long as he tries something, but he didn't. He played a way that's going lose him the game nearly every time, and even he will tell you that, that's why it's his own fault. This whole "he had inifinity bases with perfect creep spread" reasoning doesn't work. Yes he had that and yes he's good at getting that, but that's apparently not what wins games in that matchup. He plays the game like it's the game he wants it to be, a champion plays the game the way the game is. He could be freestyling while he's playing, and that would be impressive, but doesn't help him win games either. I think IdrA has better mechanics than Cruncher, but SC2 is about winning, nothing else matters. If you're "better" but keep losing then you're not as good. I'm sure IdrA think's he's better, he usually think's he's better than the people he loses to but he keeps losing to people like that. He's never going to be a real champion player. SC2 is not about e-honour, perfect mechanics or gentlemens agreements about not attacking. People beat IdrA because they have a winner's mindset. You realize that if IdrA had used his Corruptors to focus-fire the Colossi during the second-to-last and/or last engagement, he probably would've won? Cruncher didn't beat IdrA because of any kind of 'winner's mindset' or inherent flaw of IdrA's character. IdrA just didn't have the best unit control I've seen from him. It really looked like he just 1a'd. Simple screw up. Easily fixed. Third game was the same thing, basically. IdrA's mistake which allowed Cruncher to win. No way that if you give IdrA the same info he had in that third game that he wouldn't know a rush was incoming. Just an uncharacteristically bad read. I've seen the same thing happen to him before, where it looks like he just kind of checks out mentally sometimes and doesn't play anywhere near the level he's capable of playing. His showmatch against Tyler is coming to mind most immediately.

How do you figure that? The void rays would still kill everything. You think he could have won a base race if he took out the colossus?
