Artosis joined Tasteless to cast Blizzcon 2008 and 2009, as well as the WCG Grand Final this year. Artosis is known as "The Wikipedia of StarCraft" for his comprehensive knowledge of the game.
Blake "Chill" Muzar started out by making several strategic commentaries before casting events for TeamLiquid.net, including several seasons of TL Attack! and Liquibition. Chill was Artosis' casting partner for the Razer TSL and also moderates TeamLiquid's Strategy Forum. Chill is known for his strategic knowledge, dry humor, and brutally honest comments.

This would be very hard to predict if Nony was in his best shape, but as of now I really can't see him winning (although it would be great). I predict 3-0 or 3-1.

There is no cap for viewers, the more the better. The stream will be a direct, VLC/WMP playable one, not LiveStream.
For now, if you want to chat with other TL users while this is happening, use the TL IRC Channel, which is #teamliquid at irc.quakenet.org.

So why is this streamed live while the qualifiers R1/2 aren't allowed to stream their games? The only reason for the latter I can think of is that people can log onto each others streams to get information, but surely this is possible also with Idra and Nony. Are there observes physically present?

This isn't streamed live, the games will be played before the stream and the casters will be casting from replays (which they have not seen before). There are many reasons for this, the main ones being lag, production, and audience time zones.
As for R1/R2, the results and replays will be released immediately following completion of their games.

It really depends on what types of games nony wants to play, if he chooses to play macro games, idra will win, but if he goes 2-gate/early timing pushes, he might steal a game or two, looking forward to the games!

This is going to be so good, it really seemed like when TSL was announced that the actual tournament was ages away but it crept up so quickly, I can not wait!
also, did the art team do these kind of full-body shots for all the top 48(+4)? If so, can they release them like after the event or something, they're really good and considering that some won't be used it would be a shame if we never got to see them.

because u can watch a stream with 400kbps of download but direct stream takes more than that

I know this is really unavoidable, but I've always felt like this really lost a lot of the magic for me (knowing the games were already over). I'm probably in a minority, but thats always my favorite part of watching SC, watching live games. I hope there will be some opportunity to incorporate live game casts at some point during the TSL instead of 100% replay casts.
As for the stream: Will there be another embedded stream on the website like last time with its own dedicated page? I found that to be a very cool option that made it easier for a lot of newer viewers to jump into.

They should just tell people that it's Live, so it'll feel more exciting.
Also I don't get why they're not using Livestream. Livestream is basically free bandwidth and everybody is already used to using it to watch korean games. It's also extremely reliable and can't go down.

Obviously a fully live cast with no player lag or caster lag or stream problems would be great. Unfortunately at this point we cannot have a fully live cast given all the issues with it. If all our players, casters, and observers were from one country, we could have a live cast. But that's not the case, so we can't do it.
I assume "incorporate live game casts at some point" is just another way to ask "will there be fully live casting?" The answer is no, unless in the next few weeks we discover a way to make international lag disappear.

This would be deceitful and we do not want to outright lie to our audience. Obviously, this is never a good idea with a userbase as perceptive as ours.

Our stream going down last time was not the result of LiveStream but a result of the encoding program used to observe the games (and add video elements, etc). Now we use a much better, more stable encoding program, so there will definitely be fewer (if any) stream crashes. Whether we use LiveStream or not does not impact stream reliability.

Nony was a monster in his prime. If hes been practicing to get back on his game for this, he stands a very very high chance of taking a few games if not winning. He did extremely well in the last tsl, and almost won courage his first attempt. The man is most likely a sleeping dragon waiting for the right moment to come back into this world, if only briefly. This series may just do that.

I think Idra will take it 3-0. Pvt was always Nony's weakest mu. Hoping for some good games and a good series thought, maybe Nony will prove me wrong. I can't see any foreigner beating Idra in a bo5 these days though.

Yea, I think we definitely need a low bitrate stream in addition to the high quality one. I know I probably will need it. Otherwise I'll have to watch a vod.

Why not? because u can watch a stream with 400kbps of download but direct stream takes more than that many ppl like me have bad internet speed
If you can watch livestream, you'll be able to watch the TL stream I'm fairly sure. TL streams are really lighteight for the quality they bring. Although we are using new software this season, which might change things, I think things should be okay.
There is a possibility that we will have a livestream relay for the event though.

I know I probably will need it. Otherwise I'll have to watch a vod.
Thanks so much for sticking with a stream of your own. I can't believe everyone likes livestream so much. To me, it feels like a really slow solution that barely works. Especially since they've been pushing their new interface, I've barely been able to watch day 9 casts at all, for example.
Also thanks for casting replays. I can't believe people are willing to risk game quality to see it live. The in-game interface is also better with replays.
