those predictions are nice but the scores are going to change drastically with the point deductions. I know personally I will have -97 pts and that drops me like 8 spots.. same will be the case for others.

Yeah, I'm aware. I just figured it would be cool to see what some of the potential matchups are. Gives us something to bullshit about between when DQs seemingly finished being posted and when the point deductions will be posted.

Note that I put these together myself in free time. TSL isn't endorsing them, and haven't released the actual selection process for groups. However, I would assume ladder ranks were used, and made a guess that the IdrA/NonY group would look like: #25 v #48, W v #24, W v #1. Again, not official, and if TSL wants me to remove it, let me know. I just thought it might be fun to see what potential matchups we could have.

Group 1 - Round 1: HoRRoR vs. Gosudark, R2: OctZerg, R3: IdrA/NonY
Group 2 - Round 1: CaStrO vs. datoby, R2: Kr, R3: mOrrow
Group 3 - Round 1: kolll vs. CloseR,R2: TT1, R3: MaNa
Group 4 - Round 1: Avi-Love vs. JuanJo, R2: FlaF, R3: Strelok
Group 5 - Round 1: iNcontroL vs. G5, R2: KenZy, R3: White-Ra
Group 6 - Round 1: iNfeRnaL vs. Gamtja, R2: fraer, R3: Ret
Group 7 - Round 1: Drone vs. MikOeL, R2: Shaman, R3: Sziky
Group 8 - Round 1: ClouD vs. TechnicS, R2: KiLLeR, R3: kogeT
Group 9 - Round 1: Nyoken vs. GhosTa, R2: Yan, R3: Mondragon
Group 10 - Round 1: KawaiiRice vs. Dreiven, R2: Casper, R3: SEn
Group 11 - Round 1: Arew vs. Sawyer, R2: Tarson, R3: Terran
Group 12 - Round 1: Marwin vs. XiaOzI, R2: Hayder, R3: Fenix

Thanks for that!

If this is the way it turns out, I'm very excited for some of these match-ups! Especially...

Group 11
[image loading] [image loading]Arew v. [image loading] [image loading]Sawyer
Winner #1 v. [image loading] [image loading]iG.Tarson
Winner #2 v. [image loading] [image loading]Terran
+ Show Spoiler +
I'd say only Sawyer is the only one who couldn't win this group. The other three are very strong.

and

Group 12
[image loading] [image loading]Marwin v. [image loading] [image loading]ToT)XiaOzI
Winner #1 v. [image loading] [image loading]Hayder
Winner #2 v. [image loading] [image loading]Fenix
+ Show Spoiler +
I know nothing about Marwin, but the two zergs and Fenix are all really amazing.

Look like the groups of death...

And then we have some potential Round #3 MU's...
Group #1:
[image loading]Octzerg v. [image loading] [image loading]IdrA[ma]
Group #3: [image loading] [image loading]kolll v. [image loading] [image loading]MaNa
Group #5: [image loading] [image loading]G5 v. [image loading] [image loading]White-Ra
Group #7: [image loading] [image loading]Liquid.Drone v.
[image loading]Sziky
Group #8: [image loading] [image loading]ClouD v. [image loading] [image loading]iG.kogeT

But that's just on paper. The games should be something else.

For as unknown as Marwin is, he is a very impressive player.

So basicaly the Standings are pretty uncertain Naz ?
I know a lot will change but I just dont understand it..

I dont know if more examples like this exist but compare Hayders and kollls last few games. Kolls were like 1 or 2 hour before the deadline. Hayders played his games even later then kollls. Both didnt play anymore after those games yet Hayders rank is exactly the one on iccup as on the tsl ladder standing thread.. its differen with kolll

I just dont rlly get it.. Maybe Im overlooking something..
Basically I think we almost certainly know who made it but which rank ?
Hard to tell.. We will see

The groups are very very different to what has been posted. We're not done yet in processing the data, but trust me those groups done mean anything haha.

It's not entirely impossible you know. Nony owns at PvT (even if he's been "inactive" lately) and I'm pretty sure it's Idra's weakest MU. Maybe Nony can shed some light on this but I'm pretty sure he's going to be well prepared to play Idra...

He said he played like 5 games a week though,I dont think it's like with mondragon where everybody says hes inactive when the guy still plays quite a bit.
He did say he was gonna play a lot in january though

Again, not official, and if TSL wants me to remove it, let me know. I just thought it might be fun to see what potential matchups we could have.

Group 1 - Round 1: HoRRoR vs. Gosudark, R2: OctZerg, R3: IdrA/NonY
Group 2 - Round 1: CaStrO vs. datoby, R2: Kr, R3: mOrrow
Group 3 - Round 1: kolll vs. CloseR,R2: TT1, R3: MaNa
Group 4 - Round 1: Avi-Love vs. JuanJo, R2: FlaF, R3: Strelok
Group 5 - Round 1: iNcontroL vs. G5, R2: KenZy, R3: White-Ra
Group 6 - Round 1: iNfeRnaL vs. Gamtja, R2: fraer, R3: Ret
Group 7 - Round 1: Drone vs. MikOeL, R2: Shaman, R3: Sziky
Group 8 - Round 1: ClouD vs. TechnicS, R2: KiLLeR, R3: kogeT
Group 9 - Round 1: Nyoken vs. GhosTa, R2: Yan, R3: Mondragon
Group 10 - Round 1: KawaiiRice vs. Dreiven, R2: Casper, R3: SEn
Group 11 - Round 1: Arew vs. Sawyer, R2: Tarson, R3: Terran
Group 12 - Round 1: Marwin vs. XiaOzI, R2: Hayder, R3: Fenix

Thanks for that!

If this is the way it turns out, I'm very excited for some of these match-ups! Especially...

Group 11

Winner #1 v. [image loading] [image loading]iG.Tarson
Winner #2 v. [image loading] [image loading]Terran

I'd say only Sawyer is the only one who couldn't win this group. The other three are very strong.

and

Group 12

Winner #1 v. [image loading] [image loading]Hayder
Winner #2 v. [image loading] [image loading]Fenix

I know nothing about Marwin, but the two zergs and Fenix are all really amazing.

Look like the groups of death...

And then we have some potential Round #3 MU's...
Group #1:
[image loading]Octzerg v. [image loading] [image loading]IdrA[ma]
Group #3: [image loading] [image loading]kolll v. [image loading] [image loading]MaNa
Group #5: [image loading] [image loading]G5 v. [image loading] [image loading]White-Ra
Group #7: [image loading] [image loading]Liquid.Drone v.
[image loading]Sziky
Group #8: [image loading] [image loading]ClouD v. [image loading] [image loading]iG.kogeT

But that's just on paper. The games should be something else..

you really think nony will beat idra??

It's not entirely impossible you know. Nony owns at PvT (even if he's been "inactive" lately) and I'm pretty sure it's Idra's weakest MU. Maybe Nony can shed some light on this but I'm pretty sure he's going to be well prepared to play Idra...

agree, Nony could make some serious damage vs idra. I knew he would never really "quit" BW. Noone really quits bw.

He said he played like 5 games a week though,I dont think it's like with mondragon where everybody says hes inactive when the guy still plays quite a bit.
He did say he was gonna play a lot in january though

if u think 10games a day its alot then mondragon its playing alot, he is busy with uni, and playing games just to qualify.but nony was in korea prepared very well and his 5-10 games are day are enought to beat IdrA.

Oh, of course not. But it's fun to speculate!

I'm pretty sure it was a ladder-complain which was just added later.

http://www.filefront.com/15133785/TSLbracket.xls

Bracket with the posted groups in Excel. When the groups change it's possible to just edit the seeds on the right (ladder 1-48 are seeds 5-52) and the bracket will update automatically.

Of course he has a chance, its minimal but still got a chance. And he probably is practising for the games vs IdrA.

There would be quite good chance for Nony if he was more cheesy and less mechanical player. We don't know how much he practices but I'm pretty sure Idra won't practice for Nony at all.

I'll be rooting for Nony, I like him more, I'm protoss and I want to see Idra play more games.
